My M3 coupe has begun production!

Hey guys,

I wanted to share this joyous day as my M3 coupe has begun production with an anticipated completion date of March 23rd. After trading in my E93 convertible and getting into an F10 M5, I realized how amazing the S65 platform is and decided to pull the trigger on, IMO, the last and greatest NA engine to be fitted into an M car.

I plan on taking my M3 to the track as I was not really allowed to drive my convertible at BMWCCA track events. I built the following:

Alpine white E92 M3 6MT
Fox red extended leather
Comp package
Premium package
Enhanced sound

The wait begins:happyanim: I plan on taking delivery at the Performance center in Spartanburg:cool!:

Anyone else currently in production? It's very likely our cars will be sharing the same voyage!

Hey buddy, I'm in production, too!

My options are listed in my sig; the rest are the same as yours. My scheduled end date is March 25th.

How long have you guys had to wait for a build slot, I've been waiting about 3 weeks now and still no news from the dealer!

I ordered feb 22nd, so about 3 weeks before production:cool!: I would expect your car to start production soon. Keep us updated.

Interestingly that's exactly the day I ordered mine! Hopefully hear this week!

On Friday I (finally) received a production number (status 111, order accepted). I am thinking that it will arrive sometime late May. Configuration as follows;

Melbourne Red w/ black novillo and carbon leather trim
Premium Pkg
Competition Pkg
Heated Seats
DCT
Enhanced Audio
Carbon Roof
Black Kidney Grilles
Carbon Rear Spoiler
Gas Guzzler (not really an option but at $1300...)

The forecast is for another winter storm with the potential of 16" of snow on Tuesday. At this rate, the (numerous) potholes will not be fixed until mid to late May anyway. My Jeep is better suited for the current road conditions.

I put my deposit down in the beginning of February; my production won't end until March 25th.

In another thread they it was said that some dealers only had a few May allocations left. Which means if you don't get one of those, you should be able to snag a June one before production is up.

Yeah I've had confirmation that I have a car, just a matter of waiting for it, I don't know if its different because I'm waiting on a limited edition, but even if it is May or June I'm sure it'll be worth the wait! Only problem is I've sold my X6 so life without transport is a bit of a nightmare

For sure going nuts. I swear I've found the end of the internet for M3 videos! Even coming from a 335i, which was a GREAT car, I am rediculously excited.

It's so awesome to finally have a VIN, it's like the baby being born!
