PrometheusM3 wroteAwesome! I'm at the port also awaiting a blessed voyage:thumsup:I've officially finished production and am waiting at the port for the next ship.
Looks like there are a lot of us in the same boat - figuratively, and hopefully, literally.

No idea when it be on board. I know there is a Vessel named Mignon departing Germany on 3/27. Hopefully it takes her with it.
How long did it take for your car to go from the factory to the port?

It will drop her off at NY port on April 10th. Who else are on the same boat???
sae1122611 wroteCongrats! Sounds like the wait at the port was not too long, which leads me to believe that everything is flowing smoothly and hopefully most of our cars will be on the BESSYes!!! She finally made it on the ship Mignon yesterday!!

At port now as well
sae1122611 wroteIt looks like mine missed the Mignon, the 3rd ship she's missed since she arrived at port:(. Hopefully she finds her way on the Bess on Tuesday. Only 2 days difference landing in Charleston from the Mignon. If she missed the Bess. I'm looking at making another payment on my current car or turning it in and having to hitchhike to work and back with the Mrs. for a few days.sae1122611 wroteYes!!! Looks like a lot of us are at the port waiting for the Bess.
For those of us on the West Coast, the next ship after the Bess will be the Torino, departing Bremerhaven on Saturday, April 6th. Fortunately, because the Torino does not stop on the East Coast at all, it will also arrive in Port Hueneme on May 1st.
So the takeaway is that us West Coasters will have two chances to make it here by May 1.

Excellent, thanks for info, Prometheus! This wait is killing me, I've watched way too many "M3 Competition Package Review" videos on Youtube...

Says the shipper doesn't give the info to the dealer until the car has left the port and is officially in route.I wonder how your dealer can know for sure in advance?

Right now I'm still stuck in Bremerhaven. I just want someone to pick up my poor car...
Interesting. Not sure how he knew this information but it sounds legitimate. It sounds unorganized if they just wait for a space on a boat then let you know which one it got on. I think BMW has a system for allocating cars to ships. I'm not sure if doing performance center delivery has anything to do with it or not.
I'd like to learn more about how they allocate cars to ships.

Atombyte wroteMy car had waited for only 5 days at the port until she was loaded onto Mignon. She was booked with the shipping vessel on 3/26, 2 days prior to the actual loading date to the ship on 3/28. So I figured a dealer should be notified by the shipping company upon booking and be able to tell you as to which ship and what date your car will be on.PrometheusM3 wroteI was told the same thing today by my SA. My vehicle is in transit!
sae1122611 wroteI noticed yours loaded a lot quicker than mine! If I understood correctly, what I was told yesterday is that it is not yet booked for a vessel and he would be notified when it was. He doesn't know when it will be booked. Given that the Faust leaves tomorrow, I think it's safe to assume I won't be on that one either. Next up is the Integrity leaving next Sunday, then the Boehme next Thursday which is 3 weeks after the car arrived at port. At this rate, I'm not hopeful on either of those.
Mine just started production this morning

Just found out, I am currently in production with an estimated completion date of 4/15.
Originally planned PCD delivery in June, but work schedule is making it a little difficult. If I can get the car sooner by skipping it, I may do that. Can't stand the idea of having the car sit around in May when I could be driving. Also don't want it to be passed up at port just to artificially line up a June PCD delivery. Basically, I want my car as fast as I can get it.

OneRib wroteOur cars might be on the same production line/run. Yesterday I received confirmation that production has started for my coupe (with the same end date). My journey started in January when I agreed to the deal. Order was placed last month. The next 30-45 days, I suspect, will be painfully slow.Just found out, I am currently in production with an estimated completion date of 4/15.

Another 4/15 completion date here. Picking up in Munich on 4/20!
