The boat stops and offloads at several ports before it makes its way to CA
I thought of going for road trip on May 26th weekend...Anyways I will have to wait now...
En route to US but my car gets dropped off in Baltimore. Unfortunately, west coast deliveries more than double ship transport time. Only way to avoid it is take PCD and drive it home.
sunilkumar84 wroteI think I'm on the same ship, the "Cronus Leader," an agonizing 29 day boat ride to the west coast.Any body in En route to US status now..? En route, aboard Asian King
My M3 Coupe is en route now. It left Germany on the Pleiades Leader on 4/11, with an estimated shipping duration of 29 days. It should arrive in Port Hueneme on 5/10. Yeah, the shipping takes forever
Got an email from my CA that my car was on the boat to arrive in NJ on 5/16. I'm hoping it will be at my dealer within a week or ten days after that. My 1st BMW...from what I've read on this forum, I think driving this car going to be an awesome experience.
My dealer said car will arrive on 20th of week 2013(05/12 - 05/17) to California port...I drove M3 only 3 times before placing order...I was more passion driven for M3 than performance although its a benchmark for performance....
I'm on the Fedora.
When did ur car leave Germany....Mine left on April 25th or 26th.....
My coupe has been at the port of exit since 4/15.......not sure what is going on.
NHman wroteStill!? What does the dealer say?My coupe has been at the port of exit since 4/15.......not sure what is going on.
NHman wroteWow, that sucks. Seems a lot of Northeast customers are having to wait at the port for a long time. I don't know what to make of it. I would think since adding Baltimore for mid=-atlantic and midwest deliveries, the northeast should be faster. Maybe they have diverted too many ships from the NJ port.My coupe has been at the port of exit since 4/15.......not sure what is going on.
I would check with your CA to see what they have to say. Both our cars were at Bremerhaven together, no reason why I am almost to Baltimore and you are still there.
The only solace I can give you is getting the car will be sweeter now that you have had to wait and a month after you get it you won't even remember this pain.
Of course you will have PTSD when you have to order your next BMW.
ECAM3 wroteThe dealer felt confident that it would be on a vessel by this weekend. The Mignon departed on Friday. Using my VIN #, the track and trace on the WWL website shows no record of my vehicle. Perhaps there's a delay in updating the information or it's on a different vessel. Accordingly, if it still shows at the port of exit on Monday, the dealer will contact BMW NA.Still!? What does the dealer say?
OneRib wroteI should've gone with PCD. Perhaps that would've improved my luck. Who knows. My concern is that amount of idle time and the potential increase risk of damage occurring. Also, I need the extra time to ensure the break-in miles are achieved prior to the weekend of June 28th. I have a driving event which I hoped to use the full RPM range.Wow, that sucks. I will be taking to the dealer tomorrow. Hopefully it is just a delay in the paperwork....hopefully.
NHman wroteAt least your dealer is being helpful. I have seen other forum members suffer alone because their CA "forgot" about them after they took the order and deposit.I should've gone with PCD. Don't worry about time and mileage. You'll have so much pent up emotion that you'll easily put on 1200 miles once you get it.
mine said it was en route to the u.s a few days ago, how do i find out which ship and how do i track said ship?
inter1032 wroteFirst its best if you read the sticky thread about tracking your bmw. It has everything you need to know.mine said it was en route to the u.s a few days ago, how do i find out which ship and how do i track said ship?

Now if your car is on a wallenius wilhelmsen boat then go to their tracking site and put your vin in the cargo id slot.

It should tell you the name of the boat and also let you see its schedule for that particular trip.
i already tried that but it didnt show up
inter1032 wroteThen you need to call your CA. They will know exactly what ship it's on.i already tried that but it didnt show up
