So I want to change out my rear spoiler.
I have a coupe E92 M3.
I want it black, not carbon fiber.
Not interested in the BMW Performance spoiler.
Is there something from a size standpoint that is inbetween the OEM E92 M3 spoiler and the BMW performance splitter that I can buy that is painted jet black?
I have seen many options and searched but cant find what I am looking for.

Something like this? Anyone know which spoiler this is?

Hard to tell but that looks to be the BMW Performance spoiler.

You could always get the OEM M3 lip spoiler and have it painted black.
I actually got my E93 M3 spoiler off eBay ... It fits like a glove & cost-friendly ... Maybe do a quick eBay search & then paint it? :cool!:

Looks too low to be performance spoiler. I think it may be a 3D design?
What about this? one of the sponsors sell it on the forum

You can actually ask iND to paint over the carbon fiber to any paint scheme you want ... Here you go, hope this helps:

HERE
About 1.5 years ago I was looking for the same thing (but in carbon fiber) and came across a "carbon fiber-look" spoiler by Autotecknic that is the same size/shape as the stock M3 spoiler with overlaid carbon fiber pattern for ~$100 shipped. They also made an FRP (plastic) unpainted spoiler from the same mold without the CF overlay.

Here it is on their site:

And here's the CF one for anybody curious:

If you look on eBay you can find numerous sellers with these, but I don't know whether they're all produced by the same manufacturer. They're around the same price though.

This is great! Thanks!!
Has yours resisted fading and weather damage?
Got a pic of it on your car?
Does it look just like the OEM spoiler? Like for instance, the height, shape etc.

I actually never installed it (though I still have it). Since it's just a carbon fiber overlay over the FRP, it's really luck of the draw how good the CF pattern comes out. I sent the first one back because it was pretty poor, and the second one I got was better though still has some small issues. After placing it on my car next to the stock AW spoiler I decided I preferred the stock AW look for now. With the unpainted, non-CF version, you wouldn't face these issues.

But yes, it is identical to the factory E92 spoiler in size and shape. If you'd like me to take some comparison photos with them next to each other I can do so.

Just out of curiosity, if you still have the stock M3 spoiler, why not just have that painted black? You'd have to pay to paint the aftermarket FRP spoiler anyway, so might as well just paint the true factory spoiler?
The more research I do, the more I change my mind.
Now I am positive the best way to go is to fork out a little more cash and get the real thing with the best fitment: OEM Competition spoiler all the way.
Why? If you search you can find them approximately 100 more than a duplicate. IMOP that is a small enough difference to get what has been proven to have best fitment over and over again.

Glad you came to your senses. The spoiler compliments the roof nicely.

The camera doesn't pickup the carbon fiber weave very well, but even in real life, it is hard to see from a distance.
Why on earth did BMW make the roof 1x1 and the spoiler 2x2?
Can you tell the difference?
OEM spoiler ftw.

Everything else will not suffice.
Just purchased the OEM Performance Spoiler.
Too bad I didn't see this thread earlier. If anyone is looking for a used oem e92 perf spoiler, JGMODS has one sitting in his garage, he has an amuse trunk now anyways.
