Car and Driver took it to the scales and weighed it at 3571 lbs, which I believe is with a full tank of gas. If that car had some options on it (not sure what it had other than I-drive, EDC, leather) that may be at least 40 lbs worth of extra weight, bringing the U.S. base car's curb weight in at 3530 or less.
I think C&D weighed a Euro spec car. We know how much that weighs. The issue is more about the curb weight of a US spec car.
how much does the 335i weigh?

BMWUSA.com lists the manual coupe at 3,571 and sedan at 3,594.

335i weighes less than an M3 as per Euro specs. This means that in all probability the US Curb Weight published by BMWNA will be in excess of that 3571 number.

What type of measurement method? These can't be curb weight, can they? Source?

Thanks. So 3704lb for the coupe is the unladen weight. Wow, that's more than I thought!
I'm surprised also. I wonder if there is an error of some kind in the brochure.

yeah i'm gonna wait for the 3rd party tests on this one. i can't imagine how they managed to add that much weight with just bringing the car to the US.
