My engine blew up, I have dct and no FI, just tunes. I was hearing clicking sound, so I slowed down and trying to drive off, but about 10 sec later, big boom and smoke came off my engine and exhaust, engine oil and coolant everywhere.
Oh man sorry to hear. Please come back with further details once initial investigation done.

Good luck
anyone know what should I do know? Call dealer or BMW NA?

IIRC caling bmw and them knowing you were at the track will void your entire warranty...

on page 53 of the supplemental owners manual it says:

"BMW recommends the following measures before driving on a race track..."

followed by:

"Operation on race tracks results in a higher rate of wear. The BMW M3 is not designed for use in competitive motorsports. This wear is not covered by the vehicle warranty"

I read that a while ago and took it literally (the competitive motorsports part). I guess it's one of those things open to interpretation and if it was apparent it happened at a track maybe the wouldn't cover it?
Setting the track aside, you're also modded significantly enough for them to make a laundry list of why it happened.

Sounds like you're just gonna have to bite the pillow.
haha?most mods doesn't have to do anything with engine. We will see, and anyone know how much is our engine cost?
I don't understand who the fuck is stupid enough to fake this shit! Got it towed to my dealer. Ur welcome to subscribe this. Will keep u all updated

Thx man. I'm running with 10/10s motorsports today, ask anyone of the staff and you know I'm telling the truth, I love my car since I brought it, who would fake own baby's death?

Ok, so picture #1 shows a reflection of you taking pictures of your car in a grassy area. You claim that this happened on the track. If your engine "blows" on the track, and smoke comes out, with engine oil and coolant, the entire session will get immediately red flagged. Unless your car was burning, you are not allowed to exit your car and start taking pictures during a red flag situation.

All the other pictures show you on a grassy area. If your engine blew on track, you will get towed out, and the only pictures you will be able to take would be of your car towed to the paddock, where you can be helped.

Nice try though.
Of cause the session was closed, I got out after they told me to do so! See oils trails on the grass? My dct is stuck in P, they have to drag me to one of the corner works station, and wait the end of the day to get it towed out.

Were you at putnam with 1010ths motorsports? I ran with them earlier this year. Still should not let you exit your car and take those pictures under a red + black flag session. That asside, Yes keep us posted. However since you've had it towed to a dealership, you might want to delete the picture of your License plate, unless you want to be honest with them, and let them know you were tracking the car with the mods, when this happened.

HPDE is not competitive motorsports. Either way, no matter what the literature sez, if you let them know you were at a track when this happened, that warranty is voided.

Oh I agree. I guess I should have elaborated. I said I took that literally meaning my hope was that, by definition, if I did an HPDE it would not void warranty. But that may not be the case since it's up to their judgement

Don't spin this into a bearing cat fight thread. We do not know what's wrong with his car at this point. You don't track your car, so give advise to him, on what he should do, and we can continue discussing the crap, in another thread. :mad0260:

Our S65 is about $-25K without labour costs .
Note: It's never a new engine , but a rebuilt engine by BMW/Germany .
Of course I feel sorry about your luck , and please keep us posted .

Did you tell the dealership that you were at the track? Best thing to do would have been to tow it to your indy shop to take out some of your mods, before going to the dealership, if it is engine failure. Also delete the picture of your plates, and delete the picture with the putnam tow truck. Dealerships have been known to check out forums.

Just C'mon man ..We do not know what's wrong with his his car ?
It's you that don't wants to know what's wrong , but actually we all know !
What else than a big black hole after a big BOOM with oil and coolant all over the place !
But I can please you if you want to by saying OP's car is running just perfect and strong .
But damn again @Killerfish I said yesterday that I have "NOTHING AGAINST YOU" , for my anger it's all about against BMW because things like OP situation "NEVER" should/may happen .
Actually I like NOT discussing with people over this shit and also not with you !
For me it's all about our S65's and that's not a KIA-engine but we are talking about a $-25K rebuilt ///M engine without labour costs that blows all over the world and that's my/our S65 engine problem and NOT YOU .
Do you understand ?
