holy crap dude. get some curb feelers so you don't curb the new finish all the way around the wheel again.
If you read a few posts up.. I bought these off of someone a few months ago. I'm actually pretty good with keeping my wheels mint.. so no need for curb feelers :D
Damn bro sick M3!!!, I just saw all the work you've done to your car....Looks amazing. Let me know if your rolling out to Mpact or Bimmerfest this July
Just as I'm about to pull the trigger on tires... This just happened today.

Did WOT leaving the highway into a quiet road... Parked the car in the lot- came out a few hours later and the dash lit up ?

most likely throttle actuator(s) went bad. you need to figure out which bank. it's not a bad DIY.
Bank 2 is throwing a code- since this is the first time it threw my car in limp mode, I'm going to assume the board should be okay? Going to order a set of odometer gears tonight. Good plan?

hard to say. for mine the gears looked fine and the board was most likely toast. you won't know until you open it up :(
Hm.. Not sure if my remote is bad or my car battery is on its way out (hence the error codes) - just changed the battery on my remote and it still doesn't unlock the car remotely, CA also isn't working..

Check engine light magically disappeared as well.. Which is odd because I have test pipes.
Replaced the battery yesterday and had a friend register it. It seems like the last owner installed a new battery about 20K miles ago but never registered it. Car hasn't gone into limp mode since then. Fingers crossed that was the issue.

However on this note, I'll probably have to overhaul the TAs with a new set of gears if they're still in good shape.
Looks like it wasn't a battery issue..

She's going to go under the knife either this weekend or next weekend. TAs will finally be done.

On another note, my tires are being delivered on Friday so I SHOULD have my Volks mounted and on the car by the weekend.
Picked up the wheels from the powdercoater this afternoon- very happy with how they turned out. What a relief.. In terms of comfort- riding on these 18" summer tires definitely beats my last two tire setups. I went from stock to 20" 30 profile Hankook Ventus V12 to 18" 45 profile Blizzak run-flat tires to these Continental ExtremeContact DW tires and these are a lot better in terms of ride-quality.

I agree! I'm 100% satisfied with the color.
Took out both actuators - Bank 1 was fine. Looks like the actuator was replaced at one point. Manufacture date was 2013. Bank 2 was replaced and upon opening it up there were a good amount of shavings inside and the gears had some worn teeth.

Intake plenum is going to stay off until my new NGK plugs come in. Figured I replace the plugs as I was already working under the hood. Everything is going back together in a few days. Glad I don't have to drive to work.

So I've never paid much attention to my intake until I had to remove this last weekend. I think this could be a next potential mod. Looking into the AFE Stage 2 intake- the gains seem promising.

Glad I purchase new plugs while I was already working in the engine bay-

Huge difference!

Btw I highly recommend getting the coil puller tool.. It was a life safer. Would also recommend wobble sockets.
