I am looking at a 2011.5 (10/10 production) E90 M3 and noticed it has every package except Premium Package 2. A couple of questions:

-I read that 2011.5 added streaming Bluetooth audio, but I think ZP2 added BMW Assist with Bluetooth - does this car have Bluetooth for making phone calls? If not, how difficult is it to retrofit?
-Will it have power folding mirrors?

Sorry for the noob questions. With the different packages, changes within each year, and different Bluetooths (Blueteeth?) I wanted to get a straight answer.
Sorry for the noob answer, but I have the same production MO/YR and I also have every factory option available (to my knowledge). My car has bluetooth for making phone calls (100% sure on this) but I am not so sure about the bluetooth streaming of audio. IIRC, it does have that feature, but you cannot change the song from the iDrive (must use your device, whether it be iPhone or whatever) to change the song. Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I tried the bluetooth audio streaming thing once and didn't like it because of the aforementioned reasons, so I stick with a dedicated iPod that I keep plugged into the center console at all times.

Also, my car has the power folding mirrors, so yours should as well. Sorry, I know this isn't the clear cut technical answer you were looking for. Someone more knowledgeable will chime in shortly I am sure.
An Oct 2010 production car should have the combox which will allow streaming audio over bluetooth. Pre Pkg 2 as listed on my 2011.5 (Sept 2010 prod.) shows Power folding mirrors, Universal garage door opener, Blue-grey brushed aluminum trim, Digital compass in mirror, Power front seats and BMW assist with bluetooth.

Reach out to Mike Benvo re: retrofitting bluetooth. He should be able to answer your questions.

Without PP2 it is unlikely you have power folding mirrors but not 100% sure on this.
My 2008 can make blutooth calls already and i think all m3 comes with folding mirrors

I guess I have PP2. Also have compass garage door openers and all that other useless crap.

Can't recall, is your car US or Euro spec? All this package nonsense was US based as I recall.

As for Bluetooth, I had bluetooth calling on my 2008 550 so I think it was pretty standard on cars.
US Spec
bluetooth is not standard. my 2011.5 has the stupid voice controls, but not the blutooth. it wouldn't be much to program it if i get a hold of a bluetooth commbox, but i don't daily the car, so it isn't really a priority.
i don't have folding mirrors, either. so yes, there are some stupid combinations of options that leave simple shit out.
My mirror's fold. See if your decoded VIN has this option
313 EXTERIOR MIRROR PACKAGE

Isn't that just for streaming music? I believe I would already have that with Combox. What I'm trying to get is Bluetooth phone calls.
Do you have option
639 COMPLETE PREP. CELLULAR PHONE USA/CDN

I have it. Works well for me. Integrates a lot better with iOS than Android, however, it will work with Android.

For 2011.5 the option packages changed... Premium Pkg 2 and also Convenience replaced Tech from what I understand. The link above is before these changes.

By looking at the individual 3-digit option codes, it looks like this on doesn't have Bluetooth phone calls or folding mirrors. So my question now is, how could I retrofit Bluetooth calling? I saw another thread which seemed to indicate that you can buy a Bluetooth antenna and mic, and get some coding done and it'll work. Has anyone done this? Are the parts difficult to install? Who does the coding?
