Sorry, as a newb with this, what are our stock brakes like in comparison (assuming we only did a caliper upgrade, with stock discs).

Are those prices AUD or USD?

The link's dont work at the bottom of your post ?

Thanks mate, I may be interested as I am due for brakes soon anyway.

Ahh my apologies they were the links Albert had sent me, if you click on the link at the top of the page that shall work!

The E9X M3 was largely criticised for its inadequate brakes.

On the oem E9X ///M setup up front there are large big bore single piston calipers and on the rear.

The brembos feature 8 pots up front and 4 pots on the rear which offer improved brake feel and modulation and increased stopping power *

IMO the E9X rotor heat capacity (rotor size) is plenty big enough just the calipers need upgrading. (for a full monty racecar sure bigger rotors would be benficial on a street car keeping weight down and minimising unsprung mass is beneficial warranting the larger rotor heat capacity as just dead weight)

A brembo BBK and rotors is like $10.5-11k AUD delivered. By utilising the oem rotors upgrading to brembo calipers is a huge saving! :D

Front Brembo BBK 6 piston calipers 380mm rotors:

https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-338306-brembo-380-front-big-brake-kit-for-e90e92-m3-6-piston-calipers/?pdk=AgE

$4411 USD

Rear brembo BBK 4 piston calipers

https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-338343-brembo-380-rear-big-brake-kit-for-e90e92-m3/

$3643 USD

Some cheaper BBK's have caliper flex due to their multipiece design whereas the single piece monobloc design of the brembos have less flex and light weight:

If you click the link and hit USD, its the price shown on the post so my guess it's the USD price, unless as a group buy we're hoping to get like a 30% discount.....

I trawled the post and guys were saying they had them on their 18" ARC's.
This is the wheel I use to track so this could be an option....

Hey Jon!

Thanks for the heads up, I had noticed that but figured that it wont matter as each kit will be getting shipped separately from akmotorsport :)
One Aussie member also mentioned that these calipers are approx 1KG lighter per corner in comparison to the oem calipers which is pretty cool :D

All good ..... just thought you wouldn't be too impressed with having to ship to the US if you were personally receiving the whole shipment!!

Good luck with it - pity, it seems like a couple of local guys have bought these independently and could have benefited from this deal :(
