So I washed my car this afternoon. I used the foam canon and then rinsed with the power washer. I noted this late tonight on the passenger side headlight (inside).
Any ideas on how to prevent this?

Helmsman wroteI totally did not know the headlight lid can be opened. Maybe you can show me. I did see tabs that can be depressed. There is a hatch inside the fender for the turn signal. If I go to aggressive with the water pressure inside the fender I get what you do. Easy fix by open the headlight lid (under bonnet) and let dry put while finishing up after wash.

Also, I did something as simple as spray a water bottle with glide in it and the inside also got fogged. Crazy that the headlight is so susceptible to moisture.
thetastelingers wroteThat's good to know. If someone knows of a link to pictures of the headlights and access points that would be great. There are multiple covers in the BMW headlights. If you recently had them open to change a bulb, check the seals. One may be out of place allowing moisture in.
Fategued wroteThe halo ring is powered with a separat lamp bulb. If you open the top hatch you'll be able to see the wires going through a ballast, my guess is either this or the buld need to be replaced. A straight forward job that doesn't require more opening than mentioned hatch.I get Condensation in this headlight. My question is why would the halo ring not light up ?? The high and low beam works just not the ring… do I need a new unit or can it be somthing else ??? New Beamer owner….
