Every state is different. Some states allow one readiness code to be not ready. In Cali the only readiness code that doesn't have to be ready is the EVAP. Everything else has to show green. Texas only has a OBD check, if there is no CEL and you don't have any codes you can pass inspection from what I understand.

Ok so in NYC it's tougher, way tougher and NOT like Cali or Texas. We cannot pass without O2 and Cats, I do not pass readiness. It doesn't work that way in NYC.

Cali won't pass either, the only readiness code that isn't needed is the EVAC. All the 02 and cats readiness has to show green/ready.

Mine do as well. No one here in NYC with no primary cats passes.

Yeah I guess TX you can have one not ready, I had no issues today getting it done

So in Cali, if you have HFC's that threw CEL, the ONLY possible way to pass smog is to replace the the x pipe to stock?
