Just picked up my E92 a few weeks ago. Been meaning to get on here to share.

paid $36k
20,200 miles
2010 Alpine White with extended Platinum interior.
6MT (was a must for me)
Carbon roof (another must for me)
Premium Package
Tech Package

So long story short I was looking for a few months and lost out on a few cars. I really was looking 11'-13' with ZCP but with decent miles (below 40k miles but up to 50k would have been ok) and carbon roof + 6MT, it was slim pickins for me in the mid 30's. I knew I would need to come up a little budget wise to get a car, especially 6MT with Carbon roof. This car came up here on the forum and I jumped on it. Sure, not ZCP but already purchased the wheels from another member a week ago for $800. I'll need to get those cleaned and some curbage fixed before they go on. Anyways, wasn't looking for a 08' (old clutch and iDrive), and the 09' and 10' were only if the car was in good shape at the right price so with the miles as low as they were I said screw the ZCP and jumped on it. I'm ok with the pre-LCI tail lights so if I end up changing them, it won't be for a while until I can get other things done.

Car was located in Seattle so flew up to buy it Saturday morning, drove it 12 hours on Saturday down the 5 freeway through Washington and Oregon, stopped for the night in Sacramento, then another 6 hours to get her home Sunday. Here are some pics:
I remember talking to this seller.

Getting the PPI was turning to be a pain and before we could finalize on anything it was sold.

Congratulations though!

Yeah, I didn't bother with the PPI since he still had it under an extended warranty and the car has only 20K miles on it. I figured I would fly up and check to make sure it passed my visual and test drive it to make sure it didn't pull or have any odd sounds. I could tell he was dealing with more than a few interested people so I had to jump quick as I had already lost out of two other cars I had committed sellers on previously. It was a matter of chance he even replied back to me when I contacted him originally as he had another buyer all lined up but something about a loan falling through on that buyer.

Stay patient and the car you'll end up buying will surface. Good luck!
**edit***

did not end up buying the car after all.
Looking to buy this weekend: 2012 e92 ZCP with 49k miles, 2 owners, seller asking $34.....does the price seems ok?

Have seen 25k to 35k ZCP cars selling for less.
Picked up a

2011 Silverstone on black
DCT/EDC
Slicktop
10k miles
stoptech trophy kit front and rear
Akra exhaust
New Michelin Cup 2's

34.9k
New to the forums. Can't post a new thread so I'll post here. I'm looking at the following:

2008 e90
51k miles, 6speed, premium pkg, nav, 19" wheels, silverstone with red interior. No tech pkg.
For sale at BMW dealer originally listed for $28,600. I've got them down to $26,400 at the moment.

Is this a decent deal? Hard to tell. I see a large spread out there.

The car seems to be in good shape, however it's a 4 owner car and I cannot confirm if the rod bearings or throttle actuators have been replaced. According to BMW service records, it has not been done unless it was taken to another shop. Given the mileage I'm guessing it has not been done

year? e90? e92? e93?

assuming it's one of the later years, it seems like a good deal

Oops, it's 2008 e90

no accident history?
how's the maintenance history?
if the car is super clean, then it's a good price

but just know that ... the CCC nav and idrive system suck (because 2008)
and you might have LCI tail light envy
if you don't care about those things, then go for it
but if you think you're going to regret it, then look around for a later year

i got a 2008 e90 m3
57514 miles
no accidents, 2 owners
white on black
6 speed, slicktop, EDC
19" 220M wheels, MPSS tires
premium and tech packages
paid $26,800 in May 2018
it was super clean and it was in so much better condition than the other ones i checked out so i jumped on it

I don't care about the CCC idrive too much
but i do get LCI tail envy at times and look for aftermarket or swap items from time to time

Thanks for the info.

Clean accident history, but maintenance history is less than stellar. Just not much there so I'm hoping the previous owners did service somewhere rather than skipping altogether. There are a couple BWM visits but that's it.

I do wish this had the tech package but oh well, less to worry about.

my criteria were sedan and 6 speed manual. (which was a huge pain to search for because so many DCT's are listed as "manual")
prefer slicktop and didn't really care too much about other things as long as car was in good condition

i looked at several dozens online ...
emailed about a dozen
drove 3
the one i bought was noticeably better taken care of
clean inside and out
had a car knowledgeable friend go to check it out with me
and then take it to a shop for a PPI

have you driven it?
how does it feel?
just plan on doing the rod bearing change as insurance
i couldn't really drive my car until i did the bearings
just too stressful thinking about the "what if's"

Moonroof or CF roof?
options? packages?

condition?

you're asking a very open ended question without providing much info

Yep same criteria here, sedan and 6speed. Everything else is gravy.

I did get to drive it and it felt good; smooth and strong. Tight, no rattles, etc. clutch felt good, no chatter. Heard a little noise in the rear end in the parking lot during tight turn. Dealer told me they would address. Probably needs diff fluid change. I did notice a previous diff fluid change in the maintenance records.

This is the 3rd e90 I've driven; not recently, the other 2 were driven several years ago. They all feel similar so I take that to mean there isn't anything apparently wrong with it at the time of driving.

Decisions decisions!
About 2 months ago I paid full asking price of $24.5k for a 2008 e90, 6mt, ss2 w/ extended fox red, premium pkg, nav and sunroof, 78k miles 1 owner (fellow forum member). He had TA's done recently but not rod bearings.

I wanted to get the orice down to at least 22k but he wouldn't budge a cent, partially I think because he wasnt fully serious about selling and supposedly had an out of town buyer from this forum ready to leave a deposit and fly down (I was first to see it). It was a local car to me and it was so clean and in such good condition that I was not willing to risk someone snatching it out from under me. So we went straight to the bank and that was that.

"No Ragrets" lol
On to the next car, what you guys think about this one?

2009 e92 m3
One owner
Jet Black
Premium package/nav
DCT
Moonroof
28k miles

Seller wants $33k....is that a decent deal?

If it was a few years newer, it would be an outstanding deal. For a 2009... maybe not. But those miles are very low. You probably wouldn't go wrong with it.

As a reference, in the past two months I found the following:

2011 ZCP/6MT, all packages 19,166 miles for $35,800

2011 ZCP/DCT, all packages 20,916 miles for $36,995

2011 ZCP/DCT, all packages 31,325 miles for $32,886.

I have found cars with similar specs, just non-ZCP, for lower prices.

Good luck on your search.
Purchased 7/31/18

2011.75 E92 ZCP DCT Mineral White w/ black extended leather
35k miles

$35,000

Purchased from original owner, who was meticulous, car was MINT, EAG definitely would have charged $45k for this car.

I'm looking in the same places, basically. I also do CarsDirect, occasionally Autolist (though I'm really started to mistrust their customers), and statewide searches on CL.

Up until a month ago, I lived on these searches and knew every car available in great detail. I finally had to take a break. After I get a couple of business deals completed, I'm going to get involved again. By then the cold weather will be at our door - at least up north - and people will be faced with either selling their cars before the winter dead time, or storing them for next spring. Traditionally, the E36 and E46 M3 met this pattern and good deals could be had in the fall. I notice that last winter, the E92 actually rose towards December, so I'm interested in seeing where the prices go this year.
