Picked up my first M a couple weeks ago!

When purchased: may 2019
Year and Model: Melbourne Red 2011 E92 M3 ZCP
Miles: 45,000ish
Options: pretty much fully loaded with zcp and sunroof
Transmission: DCT

paid $30,500 to a dealer
i love this tread! I refused to compromise and ending up paying EAG money to a fellow bimmerpost member/friend for a 2012 Space Grey E92 ZCP CF roof MT with 7k miles a couple of weeks ago. Part of the deal was giving him first right of refusal if I ever sell it. If it makes you happy, it can't be that bad. They are not making any more of these cars and they are truly special.

Yowza!

That is a winner for sure. How did you manage to get in front of that deal before the guy made it public?

the car wasn't for sale. I made an unsolicited offer. i've come to consider him a friend and he knows that i'll be a good custodian and that he can borrow the car anytime that he wants.

See I'd tell him that, but when I got possession of it I'd turn into Gollum. You would never see the car in the daylight, and I'd start making nasty hissing noises if you came near it.

If I cleaned my garage I'd probably find another BMW in there to start with. These things multiply. And right now I'm looking for both an E36 and E46 to add to that equation, unless I find an M2 Competition at a great price.

So, I will eventually change from Gollum to Smaug, laying across a pile of treasured M cars in my lair.

Got it from a friend of a friend before it hit the market. Needs an evap and buff all around. I have an E46 M3 that I was slowly building, but I couldn't turn down the deal.

Wow. Lucky.

2008 E90, 6mt, loaded, Jerez Black over black Novillo, 54k miles, $23k.

Currently unknown lowering springs, Advan RS wheels with Pilot Sport 4S's, Eisanmann axleback, unknown x-pipe, carbon diffuser, challenge style carbon fiber trunk, LCI smoked tail lights. Rod bearings done.

Passed a BMW PPI with flying colors. Paint is a bit rough but I couldn't find a single dent. Will be getting chips filled and giving it a good polish, maybe ceramic coat. Leather is in good shape but will be doing a full Leatherique restoration soon. Steering wheel is done along with the shifter, both being replaced.

I'm excited to work on and get this car back at 100%.

Black manual heated seats, Hifi, iDrive, Carbon Roof, Rear PDC, Backup cam retrofit, Comfort Access.

8.5/10 condition for its age, appeared to be female-owned, bluetooth registered was a woman's name and it had nail-scratches on the soft touch plastic.

I reserved it within the hour it was listed on Carmax's website and had it transferred about 150 miles for $100.

28k at carmax Los Angeles, paid 3.6k for a 48k mile, 4 year warranty with $300 deductible.

32k for a car warrantied until 123k

I have very positive things to say about Carmax, and if anyone has some money to kick around, there's an F90 M5 at the LA carmax for 90k with 5k miles. Blue on tan.

Depending on where I check the car was either a lease/buyout by the original owner, or a lease/CPO sale with two owners. The original dealer as well as the reselling dealer wouldn't give me any info. I really couldn't care less. The entire car was covered in 3M protection film, then vinyl wrapped. Car was used mainly for promotions and shows. Blemish and wear free inside and out. And WHOA does it sound goooood....
I happened to stumble across mine. I have been waiting and waiting for a perfect Melbourne Red E92 low mileage. But all of them were just a bit more than I wanted to spend.

One day I drove by a Chevy dealer that had this on their lot. Called up and asked about it. Said it just arrived that day, sales guy had to ask the owner of the dealership what they were pricing it at. He told me 62k miles for 28k. Come to find out it's an October, 2011 build. Condition was immaculate except for two dings on the left rear door, and hood. I put a deposit down, and the car was mine after I had the chance to test drive the following weekend. Absolutely love this thing. I still hope one day I can get ahold of a red E92, but don't think I would ever sell the E90.
