Hit up my local cars & coffee then drove to the city to visit the moms.

On the way back I filmed the final clip for my recent video.

I ran no front plate for a while and one day a MD state trooper pulled me over just for that - no other infraction involved. Got a warning, so I got a tow hook plate holder because I won't put holes in the front bumper.
I live in LA, got pulled over on the freeway. CHP wanted to give me speeding ticket but couldn't (wasn't speeding, just going faster than a couple slow people in the left lane), gave me no front plates. If CHP gives it to you, you have to get it inspected and signed off, and I think it was a $10 fee. (As opposed to parking enforcement, that's just a $25 ticket).
Got a tow hook holder, took it to CHP in West Hollywood. The CHP officer looked at it and asked "Who gives tickets for no front plates?"

I just shrugged.

I've been running no plates for at least 15 years. Have maybe 5 parking tickets and the one CHP ticket. And three from LAPD in one month dropping people off at LAX (they didn't give me three, let me go the next two times after showing them the first one). The trick is to be really careful with street parking, it's a free ticket for parking enforcement, and if you're getting one for something else they'll usually throw that on for kicks.

And don't drop people off at LAX.

Yeah the radar detector ban is annoying. My V1 has sat in the glove box unused for way too long now.:mad0259:
Too bad Powell no longer makes the InVisiMirror. You could have done the remote mount and had the thing working for you in plain view.

Those bans suck. They're basically admitting "we don't want you to slow down because you see us first, we want you to slow down after you pay us first".

Quick wash to get rid of some water spots, then drove-to-dry.

Jerez can look pretty damn good for a few minutes until I accidentally breathe on it!
That's Jerez for you... the E46 Carbon Black Metallic of the E92 generation. BMW isn't happy with making the perfect vehicle, they have to come up with at least one paint that has both the static charge to attract dust as well as the paint character to magnify it.

Gotta wonder why Sepang Bronze doesn't attract dust but Carbon Black basically manufactures it. Its like they planned it. Jerez isn't as bad but its a close second.
I got caught in the rain on the way home. It wasn't too bad and with the protective film on the car I'm not worried about it. I'm pissed though that now I can't say "never driven in the rain".

Then again, this car is not going to be up for sale in the foreseeable future. But... stlll. Damnit.

In any case who would buy it now that it’s been in the rain

I know right? Bad enough its DCT. Add rain and I might as well junk it.
Stretched her legs to and from Cars and Coffee. Perfect weather for an early Sunday morning drive.

Had to go into the office, first drive in a 8 days after a vacation. Taking a week off really makes you love the car even more.

Unfortunately I definitely need a new driveshaft as the cowbell noise is getting worse. What's the cheapest and best place to get a new OEM driveshaft? prices appear to vary a decent amount from what I've searched.. (E90 DCT).

I’m in the same boat as you. Dorman sells a replacement drive shaft 946967. Driveshaft specialists in TX (which I just read about last night) or buy a CF driveshaft for less than a new OE one

Picked up an oem wind deflector for the e93. Test driven to 60mph and wife approved. Didn't mess up her hair!
Where'd you get it from?

Fitted a Milltek axle back exhaust - pretty disappointed with it. Looks kinda shit, dones a bit at low rpm and I can’t tell the difference at high revs! Got it cheap though...

Added an RW Carbon rear diffuser to match my OEM high kick spoiler yesterday.

Put it on the CTEK for a few days.
Wheel alignment done and the 295/30 19s now tuck with out rubbing. Still might go 285/30 19 PSS for extra clearance. We will see how the ride is with four people inside.
