It does 'work' as in it reads the speed correctly, but there is also a value that reads the direction the car is traveling. That value was opposite of what it should be when I was looking at the live data via an obd2 reader that is capable of reading wheel sensor data.

If you look at how the old sensor is oriented, you will see that 180 does not correct it's orientation, the mockup I posted earlier shows where the original orientation should be.
Hey adam, I am in need of a bracket to make my M4 brake rotors and calipers work on my E93 335i. Please let me know if you can make them for me.

I get it but from an electrical and physics perspective I'd like to understand why.
I think I've figured out why.... the DSC is seeing a square pulse not a sine wave. if you put the sensor in 180 degrees around and swap the wires over on the plug either at the sensor(if moulded plug then no) or at the DSC you should have a neater working result
Small side note, this swap fits inside Apex SM-10 18” wheels. I’ll let you know when the swap is complete and if any advice to add beyond what was mentioned. FYI the M4/M2 wheel hubs use larger wheel stud diameters (m14 vs M12 I think) and since I have a spendy wheel stud kit installed on my E9x hubs on my M3, I’ll be using the original M3 hubs on the M4 spindles using the conversion bolts prior mentioned.
Also, what washers are you guys using on the rear caliper to centralize the pads? Simply extra caliper washers that come with the oem caliper bolts?
At first I thought the f80 brakes felt close to stock, but actually after driving it more and testing some high speed braking I'm noticing a decent improvement in heavy braking. The car is much more stable under high speed heavy braking. Before it would be pretty squirmy and almost dance around a bit.

Currently running OEM pads, and 1 day of driving created about equal to a full week of driving before, but I did have aftermarket pads before. Might have to try some low dust pads with these and track pads when I need them since pad swaps are even easier now.

That is a good point, that picture shows the right side. Which turning the sensor to the right turns it towards the outside of the center which is what you want.

For the Left side (Driver), you want to turn it to the left which is again towards the outside of the center because the sensor location is different.

The key thing is you want the hole that the screw usually goes in to be pointing toward the outside of the center as much as possible.

I don't have a picture of both sides, but this is how I left one side for now, it is pretty snug in there and has stayed in place for a week, but I do plan on securing it somehow or I am hoping my plan below works.

I found a pair of F8x sensors, my plan is to try to splice them into the E9xm connectors since they are different, then I'll be able to secure them properly and the F8x sensor is in the correct orientation. I am not yet sure the sensors are compatible but they look the same minus the orientation and connector. So it will be trail and error, but I'll report back in a few weeks when I get around to it.

I have tried that and my car is flashing dsc at the exit of the garage 😁 impossible to drive...then i have fix them in the position like the originally on E90 and as far i see now, it works ok...will see in the next few days how it goes...
Has anybody mounted them as per f80 and crossed over the sensor wires on the DSC ?

Each ABS sensor has two wires that feed into the DSC. If you mount the sensor was per f80 and swap the two conductors at the DSC I think you'll achieve the correct result
Fixed both sensors as on E90, live reading good, no errors!

How did you do so, grind down the metal or not put the sensor in all the way? any pictures?
Just stick them full inside and bolt them with washer...but i do have some issues, occasionally i do get dsc error, i have tried to live read it and fron sensors are measuring 0.1km more then rear...and i have notice that sometimes it downshifts very poorly from 2nd to 1st...but when the error is displayed it shifts normal...

There is a separably live data stream to read the forward or reverse direction for each wheel. Have you checked that? The wheel speed can be off a certain percentage so I doubt that is the issue. It's more important that the direction reading is correct

I have had no issues since finding the direction that reads correctly for me.
My Carly kept showing errors for ABS sensor and DCT even with smooth shifts, so I cut material from ABS sensor to make it possible rotate to original position as in todds picture, just rotated 180 deg. because it is in different side now. No more errors form DCT or ABS, smooth shifts.
I am planning to go with this setup. currently have the f80 brake for front and rear. Bought a use knuckle, spindle for both front left and right. The last item is 31206783065 (total of 8), is that correct?

I have e93 m3 and base on Nostra setup, i think it will work setting the sensor 180.

any input would be great.

Just picked up a set brackets to fit the f80 ccb or the m2 comp calipers and steel rotors 400mm front, and 380 rear. Talk about bite
I had install on mine e93 m3 but not sure if I did the sensor correctly. I had rotate it 180 and use the original crew with same creative to secure it. Now I feel the downshift is off. Can you take a picture of your driver and passenger side when you have a chance? Thanks

As of now I don’t get error lights in the cluster.

FYI I have the oem 220 wheels and they fit without spacer if anyone care.

Overall the braking feel so much better. Solid when pressing it where before little mushy.

I have a full set of these rotors pulled from a brand new f80 that never made it to the dealer if anyone is interested, they have been sitting around for about a year, front and rear

basically if I did what the earlier post saying to turn 180 degree, it work but downshift like crap. now I follow tdott method and I compare that to original it work. picture below. the first two picture is from the driver side. the first picture is what current work for me. the second picture is 180 degree. the third and fourth is the passenger side. the third is the one that is working and fourth is 180 degree. overall it work well now. the downshift so much better. I had over 20 miles and no error lights. last two is what it look like outside with the f80 brake
