I have some test pipes waiting and I'm eyeing that Eventuri intake. Eibachs in a box ready as well. I only have ramps to do light maintenance but I may get some stands and a do the pipes and springs diy *
But with sunshine forecasted, I may just drive.

Really didn't need the spring compressor, so did not use it on the passenger side.
Lowflight wroteThere are A LOT of little moving parts in the mechanism. Your description is pretty vague, can you take photos or be more specific? Is in just not "seating in" at the end of the closing cycle? It's a three step- trunk opens, panels unfold, roof seats(windows go up).My top is hanging up and of course not locking correct. Anyone know how much an independent BMW repair shop would charge to fix and the reasoning why it is doing this?
Lowflight wroteHey Fellow TN E93! I am fairly new to the E93 as I have only had my car for about 8 months, but seeing the top go up and down and how much is involved, I did not hesitate one moment when I stumbled on a manual for the operation of the top. It's a detailed PDF with schematics and wiring diagrams. I thought it would come handy someday. Haven't needed it myself (yet). *Knock on wood* PM me your email and I can send it to you. When able I will send pics. I got the top to go down and lock with no errors om the first try the other day.
I have kept it down since. LOL
The main problem I have is that locking sensor not lining up. However, now it wants to catch a few times in the process of going up and down. It goes, but it catcese.
djschmitt wroteDid some more research over the last day and a halfChecking in from Sacramento, CA with a couple convertible-specific questions. I just joined the E93 crowd a few weeks ago and appreciate the assistance.
1. Is it better to have the car in the garage with the top up and put it down when driving (about every other day) or store it top down and covered? Top down would mean the top would stay down for an extended period, perhaps it would have to be put up every so often then?
2. Is there any recommended home maintenance/lube/greasing of the top joints or mechanisms?
Thank you for the information!
