Completely understand the trade offs, and I also had to pay more then I wanted but at the end of the day I am thrilled I pulled the trigger, and I believe you will be too.
Your car is rare find and is exactly what I wanted (IB/LMB with black interior, Competition pkg, 1 owner, low miles) but I could not afford to go that high in my budget for essentially a weekend car with some commute duties.
I ended up having to expand my search outside of the Wash DC area to the East Coast and then finally the entire country to find ANY IB/LMB cars and then decide if I was going to get on a plane or not during a Pandemic
My understanding is there are roughly 2x-3x more IB cars then LMB, but to your point they are very similar and I am certain I would have been happy with either one.
As you can see, I feel very fortunate to have found my car, and I'm certain you will be extremely happy with yours
Congrats again and please keep us posted
Cyberdemon wrote I wanted LMB (truthfully I can't recall if I've ever seen Interlagos in person, but Interlagos and LMB seem like they're close enough it'd be hard to tell for the few cars that I do see around here). I've been looking forever and I finally found a LMB E90 a few weeks ago but it was BEAT. I would've needed to do a full respray of the front end, not to mention peeling soft touch all over the car, a gross alcantara wheel, etc.
The price is higher than I wanted to pay but it's supply and demand. Hopefully once I see it in person the expectations match up, but I plan to daily the car so couldn't justify going the full EAG route.
