How long did the rotor last before needing a change!

It was a nice day so I broke out the Quick Jack and changed the manual transmission fluid and the rear differential fluid. The car has EXACTLY 65k miles on it today so it needed both changed. The trans fluid was dark when I drained it. I have no paperwork saying it was changed at 30k mi as recommended. Same with the rear differential. Glad to get it done.

+1. I just received mine today and will get it put on next week. I'm going to tape it on early next week to get a rough idea.

Dropped a little more weight today from the center support brace.

I clearly haven't been under my M3 for a while. Thought you had drilled massive holes in that suspension arm ahha.

Many of you reached out since BMW M discontinued the E90 M Performance high kick spoiler. I've been haggling carbon manufacturers in Europe to take interest, and one of them took up the challenge.

Another big hit for the EuroConnex community. We're getting recognition.

Silvano at Carbon-production GmbH has built a new mold for a complete pre-preg (dry) carbon construction - the ultimate quality.

They are currently finalizing the mold. Will be available in Matte or Gloss Clear coat. Pictures are prototype version. This is an exact replica of the M Performance in its design and carbon construction.

Will they fit pre-LCI trunks? Thought I read somewhere they be a bit different...

The test set from Karbonius Composites is done and on its way to cold as ice Montreal to test fit and approve. Pictured is 2x2 weave.

With the whining over using OE caps, I had Karbonius organize a little twist 🙂 See pictures. The weave quality in pre-preg is OEM M Performance levels. I am stoked about this.

E9X M3: Carbon Plenums around the world - by CarboProject

Another batch of E9X M3 Carbon Plenums hand built by René @ CarboProject are on their way to owners worldwide.

René is the original Connex - the one who trusted us and started it all. Over 100 + carbon plenums have been delivered worldwide since. René is a true OG and if there is classic cliché of Germans, he’s it. When he says something, he does - right on time, every time.

The community feedback has helped improve the product with no-cost options such as Matte clear coat, Flat Top finish and the infamous Export version with the thinner, pre-preg, carbon fiber lid for improved induction noise.

He continues standing behind the product for customers worldwide as we released the E6X Carbon Fiber Plenum on EuroConnex.co - we are working to extend the E9x M3 product range for intake products.

Connex orders placed in March will have extended delays from 3 weeks to 6 weeks due to increased orders.

Well done. It's at least another ~50 to 60 gramme weight savings. No need to carry extra stuff around the circuit.. Just a quick reminder to always visit the men's room before a lapping session (or race) - to shed a few pounds... Running less than a half a tank of gas can also help to reduce lap times - assuming the session is short enough to avoid running out of gas. Just some food for thought.

PS:
If or when you sell the car, it might be fun to hand over a bag of all the metal weight savings to the new owner.. You know... so he or she gets the full car so to speak..

the e90 trunk is the same (except for the tail light area)
if you search for e90 trunk spoilers and wings, they do not differentiate between pre and post LCI

I just put a crappy one on and I hate uninstalling and reinstalling these, but probably sign me up for this one if the price is reasonable.

About 32k street only

Followed another members method for changing PS fluid. Super easy, small mess. I used a water bottle with a vent hole as I was doing this solo. If you haven't done this in a while I recommend doing so.

First wash after graphene. Seems to work!!

Getting another car ready for coating tomorrow.
