My paranoia about stuck fuel injectors got the best of me, so I purchased some brand new Bosch units and installed them today. Very straightforward DIY and nice fuel rail design from BMW. The old injectors at 40k miles didn't look terrible, but not great either and I could definitely tell the old seals were dry compared to new. I'll be tackling the thermostat and coolant temp sensor before I reinstall the Karbonius.

After my indy replaced the water pump and gasket and one of the expansion tank hoses, another small leak appeared a few weeks later. Turned out the thermostat o-ring had perished, which is surprising since it had been replaced in Dec of 2018. Maybe it was installed improperly back then, but a new thermostat and o-rings (for good measure) went in, and all is sorted now. Woulda done it myself but I hate dealing with coolant all over the garage floor and making a huge mess.
With this great weather we're having this week in the Northeast, getting antsy to pull of the winter wheels and get rippin'...

I was also running a Stage 1 tune which won't pass all of the readiness monitors so I had to revert that back to stock too. He did all the bending and cursing and each time he got to a point he was so frustrated (e.g. stripping a bolt, binding the last blind star bolt) and quit in disgust I would slip and get him past the hurdle.Now that's funny, especially if it's anything like this one. I could not think of doing this if I had no wrench skills. The funny thing is I put my foot in my mouth by telling him I would help (My whole body hurts from all the bending and stretching I did) but I ordered mine and told him he must help. You need a buddy just for the 3 bolts in the back to take a break after you get frustrated. I have done a lot to this car myself including SC, BBK, alternator, TA, wrapped it, exhaust but this was the one that had me swearing the most!

Summer tire swap, had to get a picture with both winter and summer on. Going to be getting rid of the winter set soon, as it doesn't get driven in bad winter weather anymore.

XKxRome0ox wroteI picked up a nail also recently and despite literally only backing off of my drive before the TPMS warning went off, the sidewall was apparently damaged just from driving 20 yards on it, the nail was really in the center of the tire. Also found that no PS4's in stock locally, local shop tried to get one shipped from other branches but a PSS turned up instead. They "loaned" me a part worn (but actually looked new) PS2 while they search for a PS4, so now I am not really driving the car. Michelin say they are back in production of the PS4's now and should have stock "by the end of the month".may have run over a nail

i'm not sure how or when it happened so i don't know how long I drove on the tire in its low state
i drove about another quarter mile to the gas station to fill air
it seems to be holding for now
i'll see how it looks after work and then look for a nail
