New Aza steering wheel. This will be my 4th steering wheel on this car :bonk:
Being it's your 4th wheel, do you DIY the install? I want to get a custom steering wheel from mashimarho but I'm nervous about messing up the install lol.

Steering wheel swap is super easy and should take you less than 15 mins.

Pro tip: Have a Dewalt or Milwaukee electric impact wrench handy to loosen the main bolt.

Pro tip 2: Be careful once your pull your steering wheel not to agitate or spin the clockspring! (Just carefully slide your new wheel right back on).

Pro tip 3: Don't be lazy, disconnect the battery before starting anything.

love this. how long from your order until get it?
it should be 6-7 weeks?
Only about 4 weeks for mine, and the steering wheels come from the Ukraine (though Aza is located just outside Vancouver WA).

Aza is awesome, both their customer service and the final product.

My cousin who's an E90 M3 owner/forum member here usually does it for me :) If you have the right few tools it's really straight forward, I'm sure there's a number of DIY threads on it.

I have a basically brand new Mashimarho wheel on my car now - would highly recommend! I've always wanted to try a perforated leather wheel, so decided to change it up.

Still getting all set up in my garage as I built the cabinets just after I moved in.
Looking good! Considering any flooring upgrades?

Before you disconnect your battery fold down your rear seats. If they don't fold put a towel over the trunk latch so you can't lock yourself out of the trunk.

Indeed towel to keep trunk hinged open is better than using a flashlight and coat hanger for the trunk release 😆
Oil and diff fluid change. Tomorrow trans fluid. Don't think it's been changed in 172k miles.

Not at this time. Perhaps future. I had snap lock before. It is nice. Might do that again.

Changed PS fluid (yeah I know, the lazy way) and spruced up the Winters with ceramic spray prior change. Replaced one Xenon (with wheel kept on, yeah the lazy way yet again). Took a good hour on my knees so left the other for another day (2 x Lazy).

For the power steering fluid, did you just take out as much as you could with the hose and refill? I'm looking to do this soon and there a few DIYs but all have different methods

My PS fluid was brown and I did the "lazy" way and just syringed as much as I could out of the reservoir, but it just turned brown again right away.
I followed the bushum method and all has been green ever since.

DIY: Power Steering COMPLETE Flush
Pick your front wheels up, after every syringe or siphon/ refill do 8 lock to lock turns and repeat until green again

Yep, was planning to do it properly this time but... Anyways, doing it every 2nd year and the fluid comes out green and nice (granny driving helps I guess..)
I suck out (get the hose pass the filter and you get all out), fill up, start the car and turn the wheel 4-5 times. Shut down and repeat. 1 liter fluid will take you 2-3 times. Make sure you save for the final fill up!
^ congratulations! Blacked out looks great!
Just a nice photo.

Fiancé and I went out to do to some bite work with the dog. Successfully transported the pup w/o leather scratches.

Got walked by a Procharged Stang on the way back home though.. BUT, it helped me make my case to my fiancé that a Harrop/ESS kit is a financial priority to prevent this in the future.

Request denied (for now).

Please do it this way (Link below) it's so easy and it gets much more of the dirty out than sucking it out. Plus it's better to squirt than to suck. Just grab two cans of fluid and a new reservoir(has a filter built-in). Mate, was just feeling lazy (Bogan....lol), but we all have days like that. You just don't want the thought in the back of your head that you could have done better.
