Spark plugs after 50k km, assuming they haven't been done before.
My goodness is the passenger rear difficult, took an hour just for that.

Could have used a Y-cable splitter to use the stock in-car GPS antennas. Cleaner and faster lock.
I did, only way around this one would of been an adapter that wasn't the size of a traditional GPS

The antenna in the photo is a cellular antenna.

Looks Sick Mate!
Getting ready for a track day on Friday, so I cracked open the airbox to check the filters. Hadn't cleaned them since the last track day in January.

Yeah, that's what I did on my android 8 unit. I got the android 10 a few months back and just swapped the screen and it works fine on the OE GPS antenna

Installed the Induktiv wireless charging mat. I also installed a fresh power/EDC/traction button strip, as is tradition (what a garbage design those buttons have!)

The mat is great. I bought it pre-installed in the oddments tray, but I really didn't like the crummy Velcro that was used and thought I might end up with a rattle. So I used automotive Goop as a more permanent solution. Now the mat and tray look and feel as one piece. Love not having a wire hanging around in the cabin any more! :happyanim:
do you get consistent charging? I just got one of these and fitted it (nice simple job) but it only occasionally charges any of my family's phones (i-phone, galaxy, oneplus and pixel 4), on my pixel it just puts up a message saying to reposition it. It's not fussy on any other charger. Not impressed so far.
Went to Ebay route, form and fit way off. Uro would have been a better option. Just went OEM.

I just got mine in and will mount it this weekend. I have read a few people have had charging issues but figured it would be worth it to give it a shot. This will solve one of my 2 major issues with the E9x platform, though both are rather trivial in the grand scheme of things. 1 is the lack of a good and easily accessible place to put my phone while driving, so hopefully this will solve that and charge it at the same time.

The other is the utter and complete lack of cup holders, and don't even bother to tell me those 2 useless plastic cup spillers on the PASSENGER side of the dash qualify. At least the E36 and E46 HAD a place to put a bottle of water, even if they were cheap plastic crap. My wife, who always has a Yeti full of something sticky, now refuses to ride in my car because she has to hold the damn thing the whole time. On the plus side, I don't have to see her white-knuckling the Oh-Shit handle or hear her fuss every time I touch the gas pedal....

Ok, so forget #2, we're good!

I switched the wheel nuts out with these from Motorsports Hardware.

Although you can't really see it when they are fitted, the "gun metal" versions have a blue-ish grey finish that makes me glad they are buried in the cavity in the wheel. just a bit too "ricey" IMO to be on full display. Nice quality though.

Any reason for switching units?

I have the 9.0

Haha, no not cabin filters.
These are the intake air filters inside the G-Power airbox.

what kind of numbers are you seeing with the G power setup?
didn't know that they actually reroute the air intake all around like that

I installed the induktiv unit a couple weeks back and the charging on my S9+ is pretty inconsistent. Sometimes it works ok, other times it doesn't seem to charge at all. It seems most finicky when I'm streaming over bluetooth. I'm thinking it just doesn't get enough power to keep up.

At the time of installation they were advertising +210hp, but I haven't had it on a dyno, so I don't know the actual number.

My kit is 12 years old (2009 install) and looks slightly different than the one they currently produce.
I think they were still developing the kit when this one was installed?
Like the mounting bracket for the pump, is some preproduction looking water jetted thing (the later ones look really nice), and a few months after installation they called and said they found 20 more HP, and to send the DME back to Germany for a retune.
When they shipped the DME back to California, there was a smaller pulley and a shorter belt in the box.

Whatever the dyno number is, is totally irrelevant in my mind though, I have never had the thought "I wish this thing had more power."
Even on track, I didn't notice a drop in power after four 25 minute sessions on a 100f day.
I think that's because the Air-to-Air intercooler is so large?

Here's the current kit they sell:

What's the reliability of the GPower kit in the 12 years you've had it? Anything you needed to replace in that time? Also did you need to do anything to manage thermals with the car after the supercharger?

Reliability has been good, the kit went completely untouched for 55,000 miles.
The kit has right around 60,000 miles on it now.
The only thermal upgrade was a recent do88 oil cooler install, but no heat issues to report prior to the install. I only added it because I track the car on occasion, and it seemed like a good thing to do with the added power.
The original G-Power spec spark plugs went 55,000 miles with no noticeable issues. The 2 year average fuel mileage was 19.6mpg on those old plugs.
Replaced the plugs and definitely thought I felt throttle response and power increases, and the fuel mileage average bumped up to just over 20mpg, so I'll change them more often than 55k miles.
I did replace the air filters because the originals were showing the beginnings of cracks at the hose clamp areas.
I also replaced the blower belt and the belt rollers recently.
Original tune as well.
They offered to upgrade the tune, but I'm too chicken to mess with it.
The only problem with the kit, was the installation. It just wasn't done with enough attention to detail, but I addressed all of the fitment issues myself.

Yeah a few. The 10 has a sim slot for data (I put a Google voice data in mine) also this one has standard and metric if I am saying that correctly. And a few other items like different layouts. I am sure the 9 is fine, I just hated having to do the Hotspot every time or it not linking up when it was supposed to.

That's very good to know, thanks for that! That sounds super reliable, GPower is definitely on my radar now. Does the blower also make a rattle at idle like all the other supercharger kits out there?
