What have you done with or to your M3 today?

Reported a claim, some piece of sh*t hit my car while parked. Pushed in my turn signal on the passenger quarter panel and scrapped paint from the fender to the start of the passenger door. Looks like they were backing into the spot, noticed they hit me, then pulled away.

I know they won't be able to match paint because it is 12 years old and partially faded. So probably will need a full respray.

Heavy plastic parts that are made cheap but ain't.

Makes me wish forged carbon parts were an affordable option.

A one piece carbon fiber convertible top would be amazing. Delete all the automated mechanisms. old school hardtop just like on the E36.

The I drive unit needs to be emulated on a raspberry pi (I drive software is Windows based). Because that thing is so heavy.. you'd have space for a 2din stand alone unit while keeping all the features of your iDrive unit.

After 2 years of waiting and worrying about how much money....
I pulled the trigger and got my BBK and wheels and tires done.

1- Chinesium BBK

2- Front Wheel:Momo RF Series Anzio Satin Black 19x8.5 ET35 w/ Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S 255/35ZR19

3- Rear Wheel:Momo RF Series Anzio Satin Black 19x9.5 ET22 w/Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S 275/35ZR19

Getting ready for Sears Point on Sunday.

Four sets of DCT-60 pads are already in.
Front camber plates adjusted to -3.0 degrees.

Up in the air for an overall visual inspection.
Check suspension torques and brake lines.

Changing the oil.
Got all 3 oil drain plugs out with no drama.

Bleed the brakes (SRF) this evening.

Test drive a few miles tomorrow to make sure the oil level is properly topped off.
Then load the tools, spares, consumables and track tires.

What's Chinesium about it? And what's the shown with the drilled GTs at the end versus the Type IIIs installed? Did you get new rotors and refinish the calipers, or ...? Congrats, they look nice and will feel great.

It's a Chinese made BBK,
They have different designs with they in house name or any name you want to go with.
It's a tricky decision because we know most equipment is or at least until a few months ago was made in China. So, you hope they are decent quality and either made in the same assembly line for the big name manufacturers or exact reversed engineered replicas, either way they are promising.
I researched a few companies and KOKO and DICKASE are big time manufacturers with legit brick and mortar facilities.
I just couldn't afford $8k plus for brakes.
I was going to go with a GTs look , but in the end just went with the look I prefered.
I'm very happy with it.

That is correct.
Between the cooler drain and the filter housing, I can drain another .75+ liters.

Ah, believe you discussed this in earlier thread. Cant remember, did you have pictures of the job? And then 9.5+ liter in total to get it filled?

Oil Cooler Drain [#22]

Finally finished all the mods I wanted to put on my E93; AA stage 2 supercharger and full set of DO88 coolers. Feels good to be "done" and car so fun to drive.

Oil Cooler Drain [#22]

Right, you sorted this with the new cooler. Very nice!

POM GT4 V2 lip, and while the bumper was off I painted and cleared the lower mesh grille gloss black to match the kidney grilles.



My wife will miss having my bumper in the living room.
