lol, why do you say that?
Alpine has had his issues. It is what it is but I wish I could go back in time and not buy it. Just my opinion.
Took some pics of my Frozen M today as I'm contemplating posting in the "for sale" section soon... Here's a sample.

he's a hack that frankly uses this entire forum as his testbed for working out tunes. I take extreme ethical / moral issue with that.

if admins' bread wasn't buttered by the rather expensive forum vendor sponsor fees, you'd see a lot more posts about issues. I've had my complaints deleted.

and I'm kinda over the countless threads on here full of amateur speculation so go ahead and ban me if you want but charging half a thousand to play wanna-be tuner doesn't sit right with me.

BMW M GmbH has nearly a thousand employees and you should be skeptical of anyone that thinks they know what they're doing better than them.

Test pipes, drop in filter / airbox, and maybe pulleys and be done with it.

Man, I love a yellow M3 (BMW just gets this color right for every generation). Incredible
New to this foam cannon thing
Realized today that I need a few more items and few more steps added to the carwash routine

Gas prices drop a bit, makes a thirsty girl very happy! Not to mention my wallet!

Thanks for this chocstraw's user avatarchocstraw

Do you feel any of the other tuners are similar or produce tunes that aren't up to a quality standard? Namely Evolve/BPM/ESS?

Can't speak to the others personally, but Mike at BPM is the originator of much of the tuning on this platform. His stuff is a bit more expensive, but that is as you would expect for the work he has and is putting into his tunes. Was extremely happy with both his tune and his service. Up-front cost should not be the only concern when it comes to a non-refundable purchase. Just my $0.02.
Used the boards here to id my check engine light, find my code and replace the fuel pressure sensor myself! It was so easy.

ESS and maybe dinan are the only ones worth it. Again, really tired of amateur speculation on here.

it’s like 10-15 HP anyways just get better tires and camber plates and I guarantee you’ll be faster.

Here's some other correspondence with another 3 letter tuner. I'm so tired of these glorified NCSExpert jockeys

You're cheesed off at a tuner who has an agreed $300 price and turned down your lowball $200 offer when he was already on the way to your place, and then politely asked to cancel? Am I missing something here? Trust goes both ways - if you don't trust him to do the job, why should he trust you to be good for the payment after he arrives?

FedEx dropped off a little something something, today. Or as I call it to friends, my third life crisis.

Install setup for Tuesday, want to thank Kevin @ EAS for putting up with my incessant bothering ;). Guess I got my last back road run in today as an NA car.
Very nice!!!
I will probably give in to a G1 ESS setup down the road...but for now I'M Content with my Eventuri CF setup on NA and if I need more power can jump in my
tuned X5M F85 for the Boosted side.

I didn't lowball. That was the original price he offered, then when I said I didn't want to just zelle him money before he even arrived, he started telling me that he was doing me a favor by offering it to me at that price. I can go back and find the text where I was quoted $200, I didn't even lowball. Why the hell would anyone pay for a service before even arriving lmao ???

All of these tuners live like 5 minutes away from me anyways, not like I caused a massive inconvenience.

Enjoy the premature engine wear though ~~~!

Why should you pay someone before the work is done? I can see a down payment and the rest after complete, but it's not routine to pay full price for anything until work is done.
Went for a weekend adventure.

Got a few hundred miles of uncongested road and blasted 90+ for a few hours. The Harrop eats this up like its nothing. The Mr12volt running Waze alerting me where all the cops are hiding. Stayed at a hotel had a nice meal and kicked back some beers.

Doing the return on Sunday and was able to repeat it for the first 2/3, then became traffic armageddon. Waze diverted me off the freeway when there was no traffic around a dozen or so miles of windy backroads for no reason. Thanks waze! That was fun, but why? Eventually are told to rejoin the freeway, and immediate doom. Traffic for a good 40 miles.

Finally on the otherside of the freeway the reason why. Some semi truck trailer completely exploded or incinerated itself. There was nearly nothing left. Everyone on my side had been slowing down to gawk all day and created the traffic knot from hell, sending traffic to a standstill for miles before and after.

So what happened? Apparently the trailer was full of flour and caught fire. "So what?" says my ignorant self. Well apparently flour is highly flamable and explosive. Who knew?

"Is flour highly flammable? Yes, when flour is hanging in the air as dust, it will explode if ignited. Anything that's powdered and suspended in the air has far more surface area exposed to oxygen per unit weight, which can easily cause an explosion."

Only pic I could find of the carnage.

I did a little change and rejuvenation of the plastic ring. I changed the button for a red one, and I sanded and painted the plastic ring that ends up peeling. Happy with the change

My daily is a tuned 958 CTT. It does provide some old school turbo fun. It also clearly realized the M3 was getting attention so decided to burst a coolant line the other week.

Have had an E9x M3 for over 5 years. Felt like time to either move on or boost it, because it's just feeling slow these days. And the drive of the F8x cars just do nothing for me, so boost it was.
