tbuck wroteI agree wholeheartedly. The DWS 06 on my STI for the last 6 ish years have been the best all season tire I've ever had on a Subaru in 17 years of driving STI variants. The only complaint I have is that after about 4 years they get pretty loud as the compound hardens. But I've literally been through blizzards and 100+ degree drives on these tires and they've only let me down one time. Got stuck in my driveway but i was basically plowing with how little ground clearance I have and was stuck in the middle of a dog-leg right turn uphill into my property. I've done some VERY questionable things in the snow and mud with these tires and got away with it. In my opinion, there isn't a better tire for pacific northwest driving conditions for the money. I do have Viking Contacts for real winter conditions and snowboarding trips.Gotta say, after years of using "all season" tires on various cars, and almost always being more than a little underwhelmed by their performance, I have found the DWS 06/06+ to be astonishingly good. Have not had them on my E92 yet, but have them on 2 other cars and they are just as good as most of the mid- to high-end summer tires, both wet and dry. I drive my MINI very, very hard, and these things just grip and grip and grip. A great tire!
This is the first set of "plus" I've had and the first all seasons I've tried on the M so we'll see how it goes. I am told this compound is longer wearing yet more quiet. I expect good things. I've only put a couple hundred miles on them so far as I was driving my dad around while he recovered from heart surgery. I find them to be whisper quiet so far, yet they have plenty of grip in the dry. Of course my PS4S will remain my preferred summer tire.
