What have you done with or to your M3 today?

Bought a new Foxwell unit and chuckled to myself when I saw the BMW update was the largest by far, like VW and the OS update were half the size for second place.

Edit: also confirmed the harbor freight auto scan tools successfully register batteries. I kinda put blind faith into mine but glad to see it actually worked.

Not my car but just finished the supercharged catch can project on the test vehicle. Headed do a local south Florida E9x m3 meet with both the SC and NA test cars. They run amazing!

My fourth attempt with this gd diffuser. Thinking this time we should be good.

Put the trickle charger on, season is pretty much over.

Finished day 5 of a 6 day, 2600 mile just-for-the-hell-of-it-because-it's-a-supercharged-6MT-m3-sedan-and-you-only-live-once road trip. Have covered 4 western states, two national parks, a lot of damn fine Mexican food, and some wicked good mountain road passing. Nevada is a very underrated state- the backroads are in absurdly good condition, and for the most part completely vacant. We did 250 miles on highway 50 today, dubbed America's Loneliest Road. It was 2 and a half hours of the best driving of my life. Perfection! Earlier in the trip we somehow visited California-twice. Will have to figure that one out later. Exhausted but content.

Agreed, so much to see around the sierras. I did Carson pass around caples lake, monitor pass and ebbetts pass, highway 4 thru 89 I think it is, between Arnold and Markleeville, the other day on bikes. Roads were outstanding, weather was beautiful and the colors as the leaves are turning for fall are amazing. Highly recommended.

Finished off the intake with the Eventuri carbon plenum. Thanks to Leif from GMW in Perth for opening the shop early on a Saturday morning to fit me in.

Got some new Apex EC-7's on Federals. Taking my E92 up GMR for a little action. Car wash after! Here's a pic, let me know what you guys think. There's still a bunch of gap as I haven't had time to install coil overs but I'm okay with how she looks for the moment.

* Eventuri Plenum

I truly appreciate this forum because the test pipes, stock X pipe, and Plenum were all purchased from forum members.

Now, I've realized just how dirty my engine bay is.

Removed the test pipes and xpipe (coming soon to the forum!) and replaced with stock. I found that after the initial grin it put on my face it wasn't the right setup fire be long term; a bit too rambunctious.

Drove down to Monterey and look forward to the track day at Laguna Seca tomorrow.

Put away my full-sized road-trip spare and accompanying emergency jack/tool kit after getting home yesterday afternoon.

Spent a good two hours this morning washing away the evidence of the 2600 mile road trip on body, wheels, and interior. Did I mention it was raining while I did it? I did have the sense to bring it into the garage before hand drying. No I'm not on meds, why do you ask???

I want to plug this product for the troublesome bugs and road tar on wheel surfaces that won't come off with the usual products. ZCPs should always look their best!

I have a full exhaust set up the change was perhaps more subtle than others experience. It has given a nicer balance between intake and exhaust - just not a night and day change that some seem to feel.

Did my second annual (since I've owned the car) Kancamagus Highway run. A few comments if I may. That road is spectacular but this car is equally as amazing. I feel like I have not "properly" driven this car much (outside of my 2 Kanc runs in both years of ownership). This further develops my thirst for getting on track in 2023. If anyone has any open availability or insight regarding getting on track for the first time please message me. My e90 is my daily driver so it is tasked with many emotionless A to B missions... This drive made me realize just how good this car is and how fortunate I am to own it.

Put it away for winter unfortunately. Excited for spring - it'll be getting a new exhaust, carbon plenum, and a few bodywork things fixed.

I hear it more with windows up than down, and only makes a difference really at full throttle.

Gave it a good wash, the season is quickly drawing to an end.

Which foxwell unit do you have?

Went on the fall foliage drive with the regional BMW CCA chapter and saw some amazing roads with beautiful countryside scenery. Unfortunately since I was solo and concentrating on driving and staying with the group, I didn't take any pics, LOL, but really got to enjoy this car the way it's meant to be enjoyed. Need to do drives like this more often!

^^^ It is really to forget how good this car is doing normal day-to-day stuff with it. It's really easy to lose interest, or not realize how special it is unless you take it on a dedicated drive with little traffic and open twisty roads.

This is basically all I do with my car these days, unless I am driving it on a long-ish trip or early sat/sun morning drive somewhere decently far I don't even bother taking it out because I dont want to fall in the trap of being blinded by how good it can be.

It's helped me realize I don't need more car when I get the itch for a gt3 for example, it is PLENTY of car with the right mods.




This past weekend I bought vibra-technics motor mounts as I will be tackling the project myself this winter. I am on the originals and know for a fact the mounts are toast.
