Yeah, that's what I was feeling. I did get squirrely once there (instructor out of the car) and decided I was going fast enough and didn't push again there. I'd already locked up the Red Bull HPDE seat for the next year, no need to break stuff and let them change their mind.

So just checking back in here - Nankang CR-S are my favourite tyres thus far.
Just wish they had a 285/35/18 option to suit the stock M3 rolling diameter, rather than 285/30/18 only.
Any other semis you guys like in 285/35/18.

I've tried Zestino Gredge 07RS, great tyre but compound a little too soft for these M3s imo, overheat quickly.

Today is for the last of the car chores for Sears Point tomorrow.
Vacuuming the airbox, cleaning the air filters.
Then it's Arts & Crafts time, making my numbers.
Last thing is loading tools and spares.

(I like to do brake work a week before, so last weekend was for installing new front disc rings, brake pad swap and caliper bleeding.)

this is sort of a review of a [somewhat] useful tool purchase.

i recently bought a "trailer valet XL" as it was on sale at costco. i had already been eyeballing them and i thought it could suit my needs well. i have a relatively small space to fit my trailer on the side of my house where i need the side of the trailer to be a couple inches from the brick wall so i can get my lawnmower around to the front of the house without hassle.
so basically, i have to navigate though the fence opening, then move the trailer over a bit. i've done it a few times after never have towed anything before in my life and it kinda sucks, but not the end of the world.

so i was sort of thinking i could also store my trailer head-in, as i store my desert truck on the trailer and would like to be able to pull it out without backing in/out the trailer and it just doesn't look like i'll be a be able to do that.

the other day, i used the trailer dolly for the first time. it has ok traction from tongue weight, but its still hard to modulate the power of the drill you have to hold to power the dolly. it worked well, but my dual axle trailer did bind a bit from the sharp pivots as i maneuvered the trailer close to the wall. overall, i think its a decent help, but i'm not thoroughly impressed with it. as the axles of the trailer bind, it pushes back on the tongue and sort of scrubs the trailer dolly tires. then when you lift the tongue, it wants to spring back a little.

my f250 order keeps getting delayed, but i'm now expecting delivery in mid december. i'm likely going to install a front tow hitch and i'm thinking that is going to be a very easy solution to "backing" in a trailer. lining the trailer up isn't terrible, but i have to back it to my right, and the far side of the trailer turns away from me, and that is the side i need to get close to the wall. anyone ever use a front tow hitch?
seems like a better option- no maintenance, relativevly hidden on the truck, nothing to store, and the front wheels of the truck closer to the tongue of the trailer should make the finite movements easier.
as you can see in the pics, my entrance is choked by the fence posts that the doors hinge on.

i don't understand how its carb legal... i'm thinking about all the other components like fuel hoses, charcoal filters ventilation, the intake is clearly not oem... its a lot to package in a s2k.
i'd be curious to talk to the owner. it might not be impossible, but surely a daunting task.
