Did you drill all those angle of attack adjustments for the splitter bracket or was that something Ryan supplied?
how quick is it to put the bumper on in that configuration? can it be done in a few minutes?

also, what is that cylinder looking thing above the dct cooler ducting?

Beautiful work! One day StripclubDJ's user avatarStripclubDJ you’ll have the skills to build race cars like this.
If anyone is interested

I’m gonna start a calendar company .
Each month will contain a picture of a car on a tow truck or crashed from SPL products .

At this right I think I can get 25 years worth of calendars

Decembers monthly picture .

Calendars start at $10.99

Umm spl pedals unsafe garbage ?
This isn’t new information
Yeah I know it’s been discussed but would be interested to know which parts in catalogue suck. There’s nothing wrong with my rear toe links. Seems like the parts up front like bump steer, tie rod ends, control arms are the ones to avoid but not sure. And what are people using instead?

What failed on the white car?
Hey looking for some input. Regarding MCS setup.
Bought an E92 to be my track car. It's not going to be a dedicated track car, but it's not my every day car. Car will be street driven to events as well around town when I feel like it. Going to be doing 5-7 track days and 6-10 autocrosses a year.
Car is full weight, will get seats and bolt in roll cage. Runs on 200tw, with no aero. May add some aero later on, but not sure.

Wanting to to MSC 2way with Remotes.
Talking to Bimmerworld.

for a coilover setup, they said minimum spring rates would be 900# front spring 800# rear.

divorced rear setup with 700# front and 1000# in the rear.

They're concern is the coilover setup would be too uncomfortable on the street.
I'm wondering is how much better is having a true coilover, and is it worth the less comfortable ride when I drive it around?

fwiw i'm running the 3DM dedicated track kit which is 685 front / 1000 rear and the car is totally livable around town.. and that's on crap chicago streets.

thats a divorced rear setup, so same as factory rear spring configuration?

correct, not a true rear coilover.
guys, i'm wrestling with a crazy thought... my wife is going to get the new lexus gx. the new gx tows 8k. i'm flirting with the thought of selling the super duty and my daily driver chevy bolt and then getting a cybertruck to replace the two vehicles.
the cybertruck can tow, and all the tracks around here (if i'm not mistaken) have 220v chargers. i could also use the lexus gx for longer distances if towing proves to be inconvenient.

i would get the dual motor awd version, not the cyberbeast, and it would qualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit, bringing purchase price around $74k. i could likely sell my f250 for more than i bought it for.

am i nuts?

for the sake of discussion- the pro's of keeping the f250 is i'll never outgrow the payload and towing capability. plenty of space. quicker refuels. cons are maintenance, diesel fuel prices.
pro's of the cyber truck- incredibly safe, fast, lots of suburban utility, easy maneuvering (four wheel steering) cheap to maintain and fuel, dual use vehicle instead of having a truck and a daily driver ev. cons are lack of range when towing, potentially higher insurance cost.

i get reimbursed $2 a day for the days i drive to work in an ev. i like to maintain my vehicles, but there is so much crap under the hood of this super duty, i can (and only have time for) the basic stuff.

I didn't read the whole thing but probably yes.

Going back to read it... It sounds like you're trying to justify why the ugly girlfriend isn't so bad. Just get the cybertruck for a bit and get rid of it once the post-purchase clarity hits you.

odd thing is, i don't mind the looks. however, i'm not in love with it. i do love the looks of the f250.
it might sound like i'm trying to justify it, but really, this idea is making sense in my head and this vehicle is checking a lot of boxes. the reality is, the f250 is the vehicle that needs justification... i grossly underutilize that truck. hopefully that improves as my kid gets a little bigger.

You require a truck for work? You mention the Lexus can tow. Why not just use that for the 2 days every other leap year the car is at the track? (Inner SCDJ).

Continue using the volt. Sell the truck.

im on 600/900 non divorced set up and it's comfortable around town until i hit a stupid section of road.

you'll probably just end up having to adjust your C/R constantly when going to the track / setting it for track / then back home just to not be uncomfortable.

personally id say just get the MCS 1Weiner and call it a day..
