I did the recalibration a few times already and no luck. Thanks a lot for the insight!!
When I was going through this issue last year, Harrop mentioned that the learning procedure is not incorporated into the newer production kits. My ultimate fix ended up being replacing the actuator itself.

So the entire unit that bolts on including the board and mechanism?

No just the actuator that bolts to the plenum.

How did they figure out that was the issue?

How smooth is everyone's idle here when your engine is massively heatsoaked and decently hot?

My idle is normally rock solid, but I've noticed that if I get things really hot and very heat soaked on a hot day, the idle will start bouncing a bit when at a stop. Its something I noticed last summer and as warmer weather is slowly ramping up, it something I have recently noticed again. This happens at any fuel level, but it usually occurs on a warm/hot day after I have been pushing the car hard, and then get stuck in really bad long unexpected traffic.

My initial thought is the Idle Air Control valve starting to let go. However, since the problem only seems to occur in very specific circumstances, it seems possible that this could be a quirk of the supercharger kit. If the idle air control valve was starting to go out, I would expect symptoms across other temperature ranges. It also seems plausible that the idle behavior could be caused by the idle air control valve starting to fail, and it will get worse over time and see effect in other temperature ranges.

In hindsight, I kind of wish I had refreshed the idle air control during the supercharger kit installation along with the starter, and some "lifetime" throttle actuators. All of those things will fail at some point. The fuel breather valve was changed during the supercharger install. Throttle actuators have already been replaced once, but they are OEM, and will die again at some point.

I will be adding a full Do88 kit at some point this year. Should massively help with the temps when its warm out.
Answering my own question in case it happens to anybody else.

Replacing the idle air control valve solved this. Changed it at at the end of spring and was not able to reproduce the problem over the entire summer driving season this year.
Does anybody remember what the fitment issue was with the do88 big pack and the harrop kit?

If I remember correctly, the dct cooler ducting had issues with the harrop intercooler piping. I'm not 100% sure that was it.

There was a post where someone called out this issue and showed what they did to work around it. I'm seemingly unable to locate that post. If anybody could find that post, or repost the information and pictures, or share what you personally did to work around this, I would be grateful.

Planning on getting the do88 kit before next summer and I want to ensure I have a plan for those fitment issues.

I think that describes the problem yes. There was another post somewhere that had photos of a mitigation which I think changed the hard coolant line to a rubber line so they could change the routing.

If that was it, I'd really like to see those photos to see how it was secured and routed. The hard line sits very close to the main pulley.

We're you able to install it yet? I'm quite curious since I live in Houston too. I would head this route to if it works for you.
Unfortunately not. Always too busy at the shop working on other peoples cars. Outside of that just busy with other hobbies/family. I’ll get it done at some point soon hopefully.

Found it. Posting here for future reference. It was in the Do88 thread:

too bad he's gone dark.. would be great to have the specs of the tubing he ended up getting...
He switched to reddit
I'm looking to get an e92 with a Harrop supercharger( since it seems to be the only positive displacement supercharger I can find as all others are centrifugal-style) . Any tips on the modification process? This is the first car I am going to mod any blogs/reads other than this forum you guys could direct me on learning more information be greatly appreciated. How much have you guys put into the car to get the mod working? Price is not a major concern, however, I would like to know cost of ownership a head of time to plan things out. Thank you for your time :)

Try sending him a P.M. and ask the question(s). His email may still be on file, and if so the system will alert him via email he has a P.M. He may not answer, but you never know. The Duke was very reliable in the past.
Hey baby I’m still here! Just been around here and there and like spammy said I’m on reddit a lot.

The pipe was a simple heater core high temp hose 3/4” with some brass fittings.

I’m also looking to do some stage 2 work, so if Mike/BPM or anyone else has some options I’m open. I’d hate to go away from bpms tune, but they are so busy and unsure I’ll ever see that from them.

Fear not…I know it’s been a long time coming but it’s around the corner - likely Jan/Feb. We were actually supposed to shoot some Stage I vs Stage II videos this weekend but a drunk 24 year old plowed into the Stage I car yesterday while it a was parked :/ I need to find another Stage I 6MT locally or wait for the car to get fixed.

All of the parts should be here in the next week and have been in manufacturing for awhile. USA made of course.

I also need to list the 4 kits available first as I have been very behind.

In the meantime, some love from my garage. The white car is a 40k mile mint example, 6MT, with over 40K invested in it. I need to list it for sale, it’s quite a gem and is already Stage II+.

Ayyyyyyyyyyy!

I'm happy to purchase once available! Been waiting and not wanting to bother you all since I know you have other more lucrative platforms you're building/tuning so as soon as this opens up I'm happy to be in line for the buy!

Thanks for the update!
