How is he doing? Haven't seen an update or heard his name in awhile. Great to see he's still around.

helmet on first
snake the arms of the glasses through
hope it doesn't bend

I wear contacts when I'm wearing a helmet almost 100% of the time because its a little annoying with glasses on

hmm i put my glasses on then wrangle my helmet onto my big ass head, otherwise i can't seem to get em on my ears

i might have to start using contacts but i am an egghead otherwise + i have a massive fear of contacts ending up in the back of my eye and being stuck there forever

LOL I used to have this fear too. I've had a couple lenses flip which caused them to go behind the eyelid, but there are tricks to get them back so you can remove the lens.

Hi guys,

I found a set of Advan GT Racing (OG version...sticker) rims in 18x10.5 +15 fitment, however the rims are 5x114.3.

Question: If done properly, is it OK/safe to redrill the rims from 5x114.3 to 5x120 for my E90 M3, powdercoat them white, and then run on the track?

Let me know.
Thanks, Alex

I wouldn't but not because of safety. For example, what if you bend one on track? Would the wheel be hard to find again? Say you find it again - and now you have to get it redrilled again. How long would that take out of your track season?

I think ideally, the best track wheel, in order of priorities, needs to be:
- strong (enough)
- easy to replace (financially and timewise)
- lightweight
- goodlooking (lol vanity amirite)

I might be a bit of a hypocrite since I've been yolo'ing my daily driver RI-A's on the track as well but worst case, they won't be terrible to replace if I can get some sort of RI-A in the same size in a reasonable timeframe. Rare-ish JDM wheels with custom modifications might make that difficult. There's also a reality that track debris will do a number to your wheels in terms of scuffed, accumulated brake dust and rubber gunk, etc.

By all means though - I think they'd be fine as a street wheel or a show car wheel.
Does anyone have an extra PS pump I could borrow to do an experiment on? Can be not working or working. You'll get it back 2-4 weeks later in the same condition as received. I'm just going to remove the relief, measure it, and reinstall it.

Thx!
