Helmsman wroteYes DCT and I very strongly suggest the Alpine GTS DCT tune for anyone with this transmission. Much smoother operation at very low speeds. It’s how the car should have originally come from the factory. A no brainer mod in my opinion.Interesting input. Flashed stage 1 the other day, feels nice even in low speed but looking forward to a little higher speeds when Winter is gone. (currently snow and -10C in Stockholm).
Btw you have DCT? Noticed any difference in the rev matching?

Helmsman wroteWhich DC tune are you running?Flashed with Alex engine tune today. Brief run in below zero temp - when it goes like crazy anyhow - I'll get back in the Alex thread after some more driving. Feels good though.
Will load the DCT tune later.
Good fun!

Blindside_137 wroteIs there anywhere to buy that garage mat nowadays? Last I saw, the company went out of business iircMoved it to my parents to make room for the g80 in my tiny garage.
Sold my ‘09 AW/FR e92 M3 with < 35k miles and almost every possible mod (pulled some to put on my ‘12 e92 M3; have owned both since new). It was sold to a friend and was $3k short of getting what I wanted with all of the mods. Medical issues forced the sell
smokinjoe64 wroteTrue but the s65 sounds great with an intake!Helmsman Yur likely enjoying 'mad HP/TQ' gains from new tune, that with CAI sucking super dense/O2 rich air
DiegoM3sa wroteSadly no. I have tried to look everywhere for another. Is there anywhere to buy that garage mat nowadays? Last I saw, the company went out of business iirc
It was a guy on instagram and the forum. The instagram was Motorsport.grg I believe.
It was the weekend, but I replaced all O2 sensors. Not too bad of a process at all. 91k miles on the car. Unsure if the sensors were original or not. Amazon had the Bosch sensors for significantly less than ECS or FCP Euro.
hydratedeagle6 wroteDo you have NCS expert (and profile), NCS dummy, K+D CAN cable driver installed along with the associated e89 SP daten files?I got a laptop, K+DCAN cable and installed all the software to code out my EDC after getting my ohlins R/T but chickened out. So installed my LCI taillights and updated my radar detector.
If anyone wants to remote into my PC and help I'd appreciate it
A few weeks back I got my winter setup sorted on 18x9.5 Konig Heliograms. 255 wide all around, snagged the continental winters off the factory z4 wheels I couldnt get to work on the M3.
I like it, but don't think they're the end all wheel for me. They are extremely light though!
Considering that I get other wheels for winter next year and use these as a track set. Undecided though.
Black M3 badge installed.
RocketyMan wroteI do. It's all setup, I just don't have experience with it. I'm used to bimmercode and such. I don't want to mess something up lol.Do you have NCS expert (and profile), NCS dummy, K+D CAN cable driver installed along with the associated e89 SP daten files?

BMW E92 S65 4.2 ENGINE BUILD
Took the engine apart and found more surprises. Previous owner drop a bolt inside the engine, but thankfully it didn’t cause too much damage.

Interesting -- lots of buildup on top of the piston. Seems abnormal, no?
That actually looks like one of the screws that secures the oil squirters. But all yours are accounted for?
How would that oil squirter get damaged?
vitalsigns wroteThat’s due to fueling issues, which was the problem with the engine.Interesting — lots of buildup on top of the piston. Seems abnormal, no?

Edit.: Including mine.
Jbonly21 wroteIf all the screws are placed in their correct positions, then that screw you found was extra? They were all accounted for.
By the loose screw in the engine.
If so, then the squirter was first damaged, then repositioned yet damaged?
