First time to Harris Hill today. I had received a lot of feedback that the juice may not be worth the squeeze to join the club for reasons like track condition amongst other things. I have to say, to go to a track on a Saturday when it’s 65 degrees out and to have it all to yourself for a full hour is insanely worth it. I came in after about an hour on track cause honestly I thought maybe I wasn’t supposed to be out there 😂. At most I think there was 7 cars on track at the same time, ranging from Miata’s to a Supra GT4 to some guy in a GT3RS that would go out do one lap and come in for whatever reason.
In terms of seat time, man, I’m stoked on the deal. It takes a lot of “track day anxiety” out knowing that at least 19days a month I can go to the track and in 3hrs have put in more seat time than an entire weekend with others. It’s also going to be a great base line for testing - I had just put my new front splitter on and this was the first time out with it and was the perfect environment.
There is a VERY rough bump in one section, but if with my Zeubulon I didn’t scrape. Otherwise - track isn’t that bad - I came from Willow Springs as my home track and that one is 10000x more hammered than this track. It is a tight course, similar to like a streets of Willow or a smaller Buttonwillow, lots of turns, some elevation (super fun uphill running CCW - which I can expect to be very challenging when running CW).
For those in central Texas area that want to go for a weekend, I think I can bring a guest for $200 a day or something like - and again, not at all limited to weekends.
