Pick wheels for me :)

New m3 owner, & the offset/ spacer info I see is amazingly inconsistent.

Here is a shot of the wheels the previous owner had on the car I bought. I’m a fan of them & am exploring fitment & pricing on them now (they were removed when the car sold).


Being new to the bmw game, I’m in unfamiliar territory. Help me out with what I should get, size, offset, tire sizes, etc. please.

I’m partial to black wheels.
No plans on tracking it.
I’m not opposed to square or staggered.
I like the look of bigger wheels so 20’s aren’t off the table, but want to have a comfortable ride too…

I would suggest taking a look at Apex Flow Formed VS-5 in 19". They are very similar to what you have pictured, they are also a great resource for fitment advice.

It is actually not that complicated and just like any other car. Stay as close to OEM specs as possible if you want dont want to deal with spacers and special alignment.

Can’t go wrong with an E88!

If you want a comfortable ride (relatively speaking) you must opt for 18” setup. 19” is a compromise , but 20” should be out of the equation.

IMO an 18” diameter wheel is the perfect size for the e9x M generation. I have 18” HRE R43 Fall Line (shown on car) in textured graphite and 18” HRE R40 in textured black. Certain 19” diameter wheels look good on an e9x M but 20” diameter wheels are just too large. Also, the mass moment of inertia of 20” wheels noticeably robs the s65 of power and torque.

Hate to restart a month old thread but what is your ET offsets? I got the same size wheels, no spacers.

I had the same tires in mind but then saw they had 305/30 in stock and couldn't make the reasonable choice and now I am rubbing a bit.

Is your car lowered at all or have a different alignment? I am just surprised on how different our cars look with the same size wheels. Off the top of my head, Mine are both ET 25 front and rear.
