Yes I suppose so. I had a word with one of the sales reps and they mentioned that with E92 M3's there is a specific module that the car must have for the remote start to work.

He even stated with some M3's the remote start will not work at all.

I spoke to someone that had it installed on their car a few years ago and they vouch for it and never had issues.
M3 got a little bit of TLC this week:
  • NRW Aluminum valve covers
  • NRW Valve cover gasket kit
  • NRW Billet spark plug tubes
  • NRW Silicone throttle body couplers
  • FCP Euro Stainless valve cover bolt kit
  • Slon Vanos caps
  • New OEM fuel breather valve
  • New OEM water pump pulley
  • ESS Tuning 92mm s/c pulley
  • Bosch EV14 injectors
  • Supercharger oil change
  • BPM Custom s/c tune
  • BPM DCT tune

Unboxed the latest mod. After much debate over catted vs. catless x-pipe, giving the catless route a shot. M3 isn't my daily but still question how much I can tolerate the smell and noise. Next up is deciding which tune I want go with between BPM, Evolve, Alpine, etc.

Lucked out at work with a quiet Friday and got the x-pipe installed in between meetings. Loud as anticipated but bearable. It reeks though and that's the only part making me question this catless decision...

Ordered the stage 2 tune from BPM and hoping that reduces some of the smell as others have mentioned. Otherwise, probably gonna look into adding 200-300 cell cats.

I’ve had AA and BPM stage 2 tunes. The AA was uploaded to my ‘09 e92 M3 and the BPM tune is installed on my ‘12 e92 M3. BPM tune raised the redline to 8600 rpm.

I was able to compare both tunes by having a friend drive one car while I drove the other car. We both drove each car to minimize any differences in driving/launching the car. We each did 10 pulls from 5 mph. The results showed the BPM tuned car consistently pulled a 1/2 car lead on the AA tuned car through the 1/4 mile and it was still inching ahead after the 1/4 mile. The ‘09 also has had the BPM stage 2 uploaded :)

You should also look into the Epic Motorsports e9x M tune. Randy tunes most of the top M cars (i.e., max power/torque) in BMW Club Racing, NASA and time attack cars. His tune wasn’t available when I purchased my tunes otherwise I would be using his tune. However, I do have his DCT software which works on cars that have replaced the stock diff to diffs different FD ratios, addresses the slow downshift/throttle blip with different FDs, and up shifts at redline in auto (D) mode.
Replaced ABS/DSC unit but no success - don't know if coding went wrong or replacement part faulty also, triplex error message continued.
Original unit gave up 2yrs ago and repaired twice by local mechanic but failed after 6 months exactly the same crossroad at the same point.
Last year was able pass TUV as in hotter days DSC unit works but now was time to replace.
Let see what workshop says, i'm not strong in coding.

Stage 2 tune won’t do jack in regards to the smell of being catless. Only cats make a difference. Been there done that. Catless will always smell like satan’s asshole.

It was so good to see you man! HMF is one of my most favorite events, so happy you could make it up this year! Especially being the year we brought the 166 😀

Also super happy to hear about the exhaust success, that put a huge smile on my face. We need to get the cars together soon 🙌
Not M3 related but added a Corolla Hatchback to the fleet for my daughter. My son has the sedan and we loved it. Great first car with awesome tech for the price. Looking to do some tasteful mods.

Added YAB to the family stable. Anniversary gift for my wife. Also got to use my favorite temp tag.

Also made a coffee table with an extra wheel, and refreshing suspension in the e90. Used BMW life is good!

Ha, thanks. It’s part of a joke of mine. I love the show, and recently switched jobs where I invoked “a nu start” in my goodbye email. I put the tag on the car when I picked it up and my wife didn’t notice it until a couple of days later.

Finally got around to installing the V3 carbon driveshaft from YFCM. Not too hard of a job really, just kinda tricky to torque the diff bolts while on my back the entire time. I have solid subframe bushings installed so definitely had to remove the two front diff bolts as well as loosen the rear so that it can angle down for DS alignment. Upon inspecting my rear suspension, there seems to be a little bit of play from driver side output shaft. The passenger side has it too but not as noticeable compared to driver side. From what I found online, this seems pretty common for higher mileage M3’s on stock diff (132k here). LSo it looks like a diff rebuild or upgrade is next on the list…any recommendations?

While I had the DS out, noticed that a little bit of oil was leaking from transmission selector rod seal ( I replaced this a year ago with Elring, may need to go OEM next time), so I replaced that and also installed Rogue Engineering new DSSR.
