With my M3 being my forever car I decided to order the window sticker from Stuttgart Studios. Came through packaged nicely and I was impressed at the attention to detail. I added a frame a put it on my wall of fame.

I may end up doing this as well. When I bought my M3, the previous owner showed me the label when I went to take a look at the car. When I bought the car a few days later, I assumed that it was still in the glove box but it wasn’t and was told that they threw away while cleaning the car for me.

Wow. That sucks. My family thinks I’m crazy but it’s a cool addition to the vehicle.

I have a BPM Stage 2 canned tune decatted and my car does smell like His Dark Lord's derriere. Strangely it also smells like my fave Lagavulin 16 scotch so I don't mind it so much lol
I’m catless but I’ve never once had any smell issues. I can’t tell if you guys at exaggerating or maybe my car doesn’t smell like it. For reference I run valvetronics v2 catless set up
Watching it getting pelted with hail, it’s pretty small but gonna have to wait until this storm is through to check for damage.

EDIT: it survived

I was the original owner of a car that I decided to put up for sale. Detailed it up for some nice pictures and laid out all the original paperwork, books, marketing stuff, window sticker, etc on the table fanned out for a shot to include in the ad to show how everything was meticulously retained and organized. Went for a quick drive to take pictures of the car and came back to all of the paperwork gone. I was the only one home, so…

Turns out I laid this all out suspiciously close to an open bread box in the kitchen. Dog took it all out to the backyard and destroyed it all. Crazy what 15 minutes will do…

That was probably almost ten years ago. I did manage to get a picture of everything to include in the ad, but I’m not sure if I got the aftermath.

Well as chance would have it, THAT dog unfortunately had to be put down yesterday. She must have heard me talking smack and had enough :(

May there be many a breadbox waiting for you, Sadie!

ATLIEN's user avatarATLIEN you might also consider adding a cool, unique artifact provided by a member to your 'M3 Luv' display.

..have a look
Wrapped and installed H-pipe bought couple yrs ago, w/o cats and resonators, straight throw pipes.
First installation was quite tight and pita, planned 3hrs but takes 6hrs eventually, from start to stop and clean hands.
Maybe i have messed up something but some midpipe+muffler combos need to swap left and right mufflers main supports.

Paired with Supersprint Race which match better with aftermarket pipes in terms of sound than oem, MPE or Meistershaft GT

Sound is louder than double-x Ti pipe, not too raspy, highway drone to be determined, city driving can accept.

For midpipe H-pipe i have one idea with long resonators or 6 short ones and after that probably stop to experiment.
Rear mufflers Corsa, AA or SS F1 still has interest but at the end of day basically need one setup for MOT/TUV and another setup for dailydrive fun.

Some sound clips (in cabin recorded, i have to go for external and bypass recording soon) :

Curious why you would go H and not X pipe?

Stock x-pipe gives your prr like sound i wanted something different. like muscular us cars but s65 fire ordering determined sound output.

As I know you’re aware, a forward X yields the highest hp and torque gains, followed up by an aft X. I’ve never seen a dyno for a dual H but it’s definitely more restrictive so I wonder if there’s no gain or even a possible loss of hp and torque? LOL a NA 4.0 L high-revving V8 should not sound like an American V8.

Cars, especially V8 cars, are more than just hp numbers. I know you know that, maybe more a reminder that not ever mod is a power based decision.

As if the measly gains in power you get in these cars between x and h pipe could ever surpass the enjoyment of an exhaust note tuned to your liking.

Glad not everyone buys the exact same exhaust, lord how boring that would be.

Not everyone buys the same exhaust setup on e9x M3s. There are 100s of different exhaust setups available that do not sound the same. I have two e92 M3s with two different exhaust setups and different plenum setups. Neither one sounds like “prr” and both setups do not sound the same. There’s a measurable difference in power and torque between a forward X and an aft X midpiped due to different amounts of flow restriction and scavaging…but both increase power and torque vs. a single or double H pipe . I certainly wouldn’t install a midpipe design that potentially robs the car of power and torque just to force a high rpm NA 4.0 L V8 to sound like something it is not. However, at least for now, we can still make are own decisions so you do you.
