What have you done with or to your M3 today?

Picked up my car after my shop installed a Valvetronix X pipe with 200 cell cats and dual resonators. Cats in primary position, forward X downstream from the cats. Dumps into a Corsa exhaust and replaces oem X running on the 200 cell secondaries.

The car’s exhaust tone is changed away from the V8 rumble to more of a tight Euro F1 tone. I like it.

The smell is WAY better than a leaking x pipe with secondaries that were maybe shot after 157k miles.

The car seems to be running fine on my BPM stage II tune. There might be a short period of low RPM torque drop but I am still testing that out. But certainly the car is in no way disabled as has occurred in some forward X applications that have ultimately required specific tuning to resolve.

Addendum:

Argh! The ground clearance of the cats looks about the same as the diff cooling grill but I rubbed today on some larger than typical parking lot speed bumps.

Got any video of the exhaust sound. Id love a higher pitch sound on mine. The car came with muffler delete and the sound isn't horrible, just sounds sloppy and droney

Sounds like an awesome setup, besides the ground clearance. I have the quad resonated design and the clearance wasn’t ideal either. The tone and added torque was pretty sweet in my experience.

I’m curious to see how it runs with the tune, I was untuned and was getting some backpressure issues causing some serious vibrations and resonance with Turner valved exhaust and Active Autowerk gen II. I ended up taking it off and now running full AA.

That's a similar set-up to one I had - at least before I sold it. My M3World.com stainless steel X-Pipe had 200 cell secondaries, but no primaries. I combined it with the stock back box muffler and ended up with something I thought had a Euro F1 sound like you described above. I'm pretty sure I know what you mean sound character wise. Mine also had resonators down stream of the 200 cell hi-flow secondaries. Here's a sound clip linked below:

IMO, design is sensational!

My experience with ID [UK manufacturer] - - pleased with customer service, prompt responsiveness to questions/requests from Salman their designer engineer along with super fast order fulfillment; 6-days to door... all a welcomed experience.

Tariff Taxes - Given this nonsense, was concerned about exorbitant import taxes. Turned out fees favorable and actually inline with expected/normal import fees; meaning prior to chaotic import tax policy related to "TACO" meddling

Regrettably, my install will be delayed due to business travel and whip in shop for bumper 'repaint-cure-PPF'...more later

With that, enjoy multiple credible AM support, options, on-going dev, and product selections [OE components to some extent].

Replaced the rear center console cover and ash tray since they were becoming quite sticky. I was able to reuse the AC vents as they are made of different plastic. This job completes my 2 year project to replace all the interior plastic pieces that have become sticky.

This includes a whole new frame piece (the piece with the faux leather) as well right?

This did not include the main center console as mine has not started to degrade yet. I just replaced the end cover that houses the vents and ash tray. The ash tray was the most sticky of all the parts as my fingerprints got imprinted when removing it. In my experience over the past couple of years of getting rid of the sticky plastics, they all seem to degrade at different rates.

Started mocking version 1 of the 100% carbon dash.
We’re already making a single hump version and willl be using vacuum infusion on the one for cleaner looks.

Put it on a dyno yesterday and honestly I am very happy with the result!

Still running with stock cats.
Fresh spark plugs.

I’m running the full Valvetronics Valved Sport Exhaust System (V2)with catted 200 cell mid pipe.
I’ve got a custom Alpine Stage 2 tune specific for the exhaust. It’s loud with valves open and higher pitched at redline with mild burbles on downshift.

Finally got around to installing my backup camera to finish up the Mr12volt modernization mods and cleaned up the wire routing behind the head unit. Works great.
