Had the same issue on my install this weekend. Did you install the fiber optic loop in the trunk? If you did, you need to remove it and reconnect it to the amplifier. In the US cars we aren’t supposed to stall that loop in the trunk.

Yes I only have the regular single cd changer below the climate control, nothing in my trunk.

Around two years ago I installed the Mr12Volt device. Afterwards I noticed I had to do some coding in order to make it work.
As I didn't have any experience with coding back then, I met with a local experienced BMW coding guy.

I told him to code the mp3_cdc option and I remember he had trouble connecting to my CIC (because I changed the wiring to the Mr12Volt device during install). But he somehow managed to make it work.

Nowadays I got my own diagnosis laptop with NCS Expert and NCS Dummy.
But with the connection cut to the CIC, I can't look at the coding values. I don't know which cables need to be connected how in order to reach the CIC.

Since I replaced the Mr12Volt device with a new one there is also a new problem now:
Backing up shows a black image without a signal from my GreenYi camera. Returning to D gear, I either get a black screen or a greenish glitching CarPlay image. I have to change the gear to reverse and back to drive an additional time to get the CarPlay image again.

Have you updated the firmware? I haven't had this issue in a long time. I think it only happened once or twice for me, and it's only a loud chirp, not a long continuous sound. Wireless Android Auto so not sure if the phone matters or not.

Hi, looking for help here. I just bought the CIC unit for my F13 prod 2012/07. It has the CIC everything.

I managed to code the car with an cdchanger with esys (ncsexpert for E chassis)

I have installed everything and get into the 12V menu and have sound as etc when connecting with andriod auto.

The issue i can't manage to get my controller to working at all in the 12V but in original menus It works just fine.
Any idea?

MY first thought would be ensuring the dip switches on the p2000 are set correctly, followed by ensuring all connections are tight.

The CIC unit in the F series cars is different and I know requires different dip switch settings on the p2000 than the E series cars which are the vast majority of the people here.

Remember, the idrive controller knob is ultimately just sending signals on canbus. The p2000 in its current state likely cant understand the signal (because of wrong dip switch settings) or the signal isnt getting there in the first place (because of a loose connection)

Solution:
Remove the fiber optic loop for the amp and unmute the system😭
I had it right the first time installing however it was just muted

Anyone here having issues with a new IPhone 17, I have the ProMax but heard all 17’s have a disconnect issue. I can’t stay connected more than 5-10 minutes. The latest IOS update did not help me. I have not downloaded the latest firmware for Mr12V but will this weekend.

I have a BMW F10 with CIC and have been using a MR12Volt P2000 adapter without issues. Recently, I attempted to update the firmware following the official instructions:
• 16GB SD card formatted to FAT32
• Update file placed in the root of the SD card
• Inserted the card into P2000 and restarted the system

After that, the P2000 stopped working:
• Only the red LED is constantly on (the blue LED sometimes flashes briefly and then goes off).
• The “CD” menu in CIC no longer shows the virtual disks (CD1, CD2, etc.).
• No Bluetooth connection is detected anymore.

I suspect the firmware update failed and bricked the device. I contacted MR12Volt support, but they stopped replying.

Questions:
• Has anyone encountered this issue?
• Is there a recovery firmware or a way to reflash it?
• Can it be reset or revived somehow (via SD or USB)?

Any help, advice, or files would be greatly appreciated!
