KClemente wroteYes haha it is super annoying. Even when you manually switch to airpods, it still switches back to mr12volt after 2 minutes.I have been using mine for the past 2-3 years now and at a high level, it does work very well. Would I recommend it? It’s hard to say and really depends on who you are.
The carplay connection algorithm is insanely aggressive and will always attempt to connect and reconnect and reconnect…

It definitely helps if I remember to lock the car BUT ALSO I got into the habit of pressing the volume knob on the stereo whenever I park. This is normally what you do to mute the stereo but it turns off the mr12volt. If you can turn it into a habit it helps, especially if your living room is right next to your garage lol. It stays off until you press the physical knob again.
smass wroteBro I just did this and it helps a bunch THANK YOUIn iOS 26, you can prevent your iPhone from switching audio to speakers or CarPlay by enabling the "Keep Audio with Headphones" feature. Navigate to Settings > General > AirPlay & Continuity and toggle on "Keep Audio with Headphones" to ensure your AirPods or Bluetooth headphones remain connected.
