Unfortunately I can't say I feel any difference after the reset (which I double checked reading the before/after HEX code). The difference between C/N/S settings is still (too) small, but I wouldn't say it got any softer either.

Hooked up the amp meeter for the fun of it and the original 0.8/1.6/2 amps is still there and probabably it should while the dynamic/current decrease when hitting pott holes etc "should" be less. This is however basically impossible to measure without capturing data during the exact same circumstances.

Anyways, thought I chime in. I'll go back to play around with the tire pressure to end up where I prefer. Mistery remains, as there isn't anything else other than the shocks valve current that possibly can have an impact.

Good pun at the end of your post; "impact". :) I'm wondering if the EDC Module itself can fail somehow without throwing a code. For example, a bad ground or moisture. I don't recall if during your experimentations you replaced the EDC Module or not, but I saw a "reset" EDC Module option within the Foxwell tool menus. I wonder what would happen if I reset the EDC Module without actually having replaced it? Perhaps the EDC module has some unseen mileage shock stiffness offset factor? Tire pressures do make a difference, as does the type of tire, size of tire, mass of tire, mass of wheel and tire design construction architecture. I'm still in search of a more comfortable ride without having to sell the car. But I doubt I ever will. 17 inch snow tires come to mind (235/45R17) as do regular E9X springs. Oh well, I guess it's not that bad, and summer is almost here which is when my suspension softens up. Thanks for your update.

Hi Doc, btw after some driving around I do notice it got softer after the reset (went Winters to Summers, playing with the pressure etc). At this point I've went back up on pressure (2.8-2.9 Bar vs 2.5). Like to believe it feels better overall, I'll report back.

Thanks. I run 2.0 bar cold all around. The OEM placard is about 2.3Fr/2.4Rr bar or 33Fr/35Rr psi. 2.9bar is too high for the street and stock OEM tire sizes IMO unless you’re running on the Autobahn at sustained high speeds above 100+mph. I realize 2.0 bar cold is too low for some folk, but I like a plusher ride at my age. Experiment and see what you prefer, but lower is better for NVH ride comfort and higher pressures are better for handling.

I noticed before that the pressure guidance seems lower in some areas. On my door sill it says 2.7 B all around minimun (265/245/19), and 3.2F/3.4R at full load. Maybe E90 fully loaded is influencing this (as it does on the springs). The quite significant difference is strange though. 2.0 B would make my car wobble.

I’m on the 18in OEM sizes, but I also find the difference strange. Here’s what my door jamb placard says (see photos below). 2.7bar would probbaly make mine have a rock hard ride. Even on your placard the 245/45R18 front size doesn't show the same pressure as the E92. (0.1bar difference).

Ah, didn't even think about the 18in option, that makes the difference drastically smaller...:D

Hi Doc,
Strangly after a few weeks driving it seems things is getting better, but sure could be in my mind only. Back on normal tire pressure (2.7) and plan to increase a tad more. If nothing else I've got a more planted ride back due to the increased tire pressure.

Increased tire pressures increase tire spring rate and stiffnesses in all three directions: vertical, lateral and circumferential (torsional). It also increases tire damping. Some people perceive these phenomenon as increased lateral firmness (less sub limit yaw) i.e. a perception of improved handling. I’m wanting a softer, less firm, more compliant ride with improved road surface imperfection filtering. It means we are wanting the opposite things (improvements). Ride compliance (comfort) and handling are often mutually exclusive with the exception of active suspension as seen once upon a time in F1. As the summer temperatures increase in South Carolina my EDC shocks become a bit less harsh (softer). However, since the tire spring rate contributes to the overall wheel rate and total spring rate, all I can do is soften the tire’s spring rate via lower pressure unless I install softer regular E92 springs or different tires. Totally agree. Thing is that with too harsh EDC I simply had to lower the pressure far below spec hence loosing handling/adding wobble. With EDC reset and increased tire pressure I got rid of some wobbling, so fairly satisfied with the action.

I have tested resistance on the shock and it was within the normal range so I've narrowed it down to a faulty vertical acceleration sensor.
The code that the system is showing is 5FD0 "Accel.Signal on the front right too small"

Can somebody tell me exactly where this sensor is located, Google AI says it's behind the fender turn signal...

I purchased the car recently and it had been repaired after a front right collision. I have found a number of, and fixed, things that were not reconnected/reinstalled properly.

This is the last thing that I'm chasing down, any help would be greatly appreciated!
