Don't know if it is a bug or a forum permissions leak, but I was awarded points yesterday for 2,000 views on a thread that was posted to the now-hidden "Politics & Religion" section several years ago. Don't know if it is a mis-configuration letting someone/some bot read that now-hidden section, or if it was a change in the awards level table that triggered the awarding of points to that thread yesterday. Just reporting the unusual behavior in case it's a bug with the new forum software.....
Slightly off topic -

Curious, did your count go up? I keep getting rep points for popular threads and appreciates but my count hasn't moved in weeks.
I think it is going up, but haven't been paying attention.

The forum persona that I'm coming in from hasn't been upgraded yet. When I looked at the new beta site, my rep points were 3x higher because of a formula change for calculating them. If the forum persona that you're using has been upgraded, maybe it is a bug?????

Your points are going up. I just appreciated your post and the count increased.

My points are the same on both. 18,637 shows here and 18.6K shows on beta site.

Thank you.

Maybe those other people don't appreciate your posts as much as I just did (and your count went up by one)????? :confused2

Those notifications (the flag button up right as I see it in the browser) can come up repeatedly, "consumed"/counted already. In this case you can either notice the timestamp as well or just ignore the counter to be "
" :).
