Strip wash and made the jump to Griots 3in1 ceramic. I found a technique that produces far fewer streaks so I made the jump from their purple rinseless. So far so good but holy shit does it go through microfiber towels like crazy. If it wasn’t for rags to ritches I’d be buying new plush pile every wash.

Forgot to post during the process over the winter, but now that it's wrapped up figured I'd share.

Started things off with installing some Fortune Auto 510s and replacing every pivot point on the front end.

Next I moved onto servicing my 147k DCT! Honestly wasn't that hard of a process, just took my time and cleaned as much as I could.

Overall drivability has improved as far as the DCT goes. It downshifts into first much better and doesn't seem to have as much of a "delay" when starting from 1st.

The suspension was a huge improvement. The EDC was just tired and after replacing every arm up front as well as inner and outter tierods, my car feels so much tighter and flat. 10/10 recommend the Syncro Design monoballs especially knowing I have a lifetime warranty through FCP!

PS: I traded the Apex for some OE ZCP wheels and will update once I get a few scuffs taken care of.
What an extensive and lovely project! Do the Auto 510 support EDC or did you delete it?
The mileage doesnt show, car looks great!

Thank you! The Fortune Auto's do not support EDC, I had to code out the functionality. Also a very easy process.
Fantastic canyon run this wkend!

A few guys from regional forum, 'Official LA/OC', crew drive up to Good Vibes Car Meet at Newcomb's Ranch.

A renowned, historic high-altitude hangout on Angeles Crest Highway (ACH); a major gathering point for automotive enthusiasts, particularly for the Good Vibes Breakfast Club.

A bit of spirited driving & some noise... :D :burnrubbe

Finally made it back to my home road, Tail of the Dragon, with the new car. It was flawless and I loved every second of it. The car did much better than expected!

Stunning car and photos, welcome onboard!
I gave the brothers from another mother a quick wash before work. Earlier this morning, purchased them both a happy 4th of July present. An Eventuri CF plenum to finish off the m3 and replica euro gt3 seats for the 911tt. Cheers everyone.

where did you get the replica euro GT3 seat?
Car is on 220s again, after refinishing on diamond. Not only regular 220s, but square setup on rear 220s. Tires are 265/35 square too.

I thought it looked very good, but I'm having rubbing issues in the right side fender when steering to the right side.

I'm not quite sure of what I'm gonna do about it.

ps.: 15mm spacers on rear axle, but it's rubbing too on hard bumps. Camber is -1.40º. I'll try 10mm. No spacers on front.

Finished job:
Bumper impact absorber installation (was absent since previous owner);
Clutch fluid flush with Motul DOT 5.1;
Rear right camber arm replacement (adjustment tab was broken, was running with -2.4º rear camber due to that, now -1.4º);
Inline fuel filter replacement;
Accessory belts replacement;

Had a hard time removing the center bolt of the reinforcement plate. The nut above that the bolt tights against broke down, and began to spin freely. So, I had to remove the center jack pad with a drill, then cut the bolt with a grinder. At the end of the job, I got new bolt and nut, and reinstalled the jack pad with two bolts and nuts too.

Had some drinks and watched 2011 12hours of Sebring in the garage with Purl. Cleaned her engine bay up while watching the E92 M3 GT pull out a win. Best car I’ve ever owned. Going on 13 years together and I still love it! (Old pic but all I had)

Nice. Lookin' good in the neighborhood... The 2011 ALMS 12 hours of Sebring was a one two win for the two E92 M3 GTs from Team Rahal

Lest we not forget overall...historic seasons,`11-`12, e92 M3 & Team successes:
> 2011: Dominated ALMS GT class -> P1 winning/sweeping all three major titles; very cool 🏁 :smoking:
  1. Manufacturer
  2. Team
  3. Drivers' championships

Those were the days! BMW won the 2010 ALMS GT class manufacturer's championship and for 2011 the E92 M3 GTs made a clean sweep for the driver's championship and manufacturer's - but for 2012 season I think it was Corvette who won the ALMS GT class championships - but I could be wrong? Anyway, for 2013 BMW retired the E92 M3 GTs twins and campaigned the Z4. The Z4 was shackled with a 25kg weight penalty because Porsche complained (appealed) about a so called "unfair advantage" and things were never quite the same after that. Or perhaps you just meant the 12 hours of Sebring for 2012 stats? Porsche had not had their asses kicked in endurance racing for a very long time - especially not by a German car maker... Aside from full championships, the E92 M3 GT also won the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring in consecutive years, taking the GT class hardware in both 2011 and 2012. Sorry to thread jack.

Was at the Heizr Racing Department Event with some friends from Switzerland at the Hockenheimring a couple weekends ago. Awesome turn out overall and and a ton of race cars from all sorts that did some laps around the track.

My buddy and I “snuck” our M3s onto the Pit Lane/Paddock area after the event ended to snap some cool photos. Cool to see 2 American Spec M3s at Hockenheimring. Long way from Oregon (E46 M3) and Tennessee (E92 M3).

Well…I had purchased f3x m performance shift knob/boot and parking brake knob/boot to retrofit into my e92. These are the penultimate mods to interior.

Attempted to glue the parking brake boot to the E9x frame but there isn’t enough slack for proper movement of handle.

Anyhow, I probably could have trimmed a different way but what’s done is done.

Now gonna order Alcantara to have an upholstery shop use the E9x boot as a reference.

Hoping the shift knob/boot will not be an issue.

Learned a bit about relief cuts so that’s a plus haha

Nice retro fit, but I don't think you'll have enough slack with the shift boot either, it is much smaller than the e9x shift boot.
