This is the Capela de Nossa Senhora das Vitórias (Chapel of Our Lady of Victories), a Neo-Gothic chapel located near Furnas Lake on São Miguel Island in the Azores, Portugal. It was built between 1870 and 1886 by José do Canto as a mausoleum for himself and his wife. The chapel is famous for its misty, atmospheric setting amidst dense forest and is often mistaken for an abandoned building.
