Have to see if the court decision lasts past the 7 day hold. If it does, then it should lead to good things. If it gets challenged, then back to where we started.

There's 12,000 square feet of freedom about an hour's drive from our tree farm...at Palmetto State Armory. If I have read SC's laws correctly, they are 100% dependent on the NFA registry to determine legality of any NFA-restricted item. Why do I suspect that AR-15 three-burst lower receivers are going to be on national back-order for a year or more the day that the ruling takes effect?????

I think machine guns are under a different law

Fairly certain some nudnik will appeal this. We won't be safe without a favorable Supreme Court ruling IMHO.

Me too but I’m wanting one for my Walther PDP. Walter has been out of stock for threaded barrels for a LONG TIME. Maybe I’ll do my Sig P226

I'm just hoping the Kommiefornyastan roster will be eliminated; it's totally unconstitutional. I don't understand the confusion over "shall not be infringed."

I wanna stick a threaded barrel on my 229 and have a suppressor on it, just havent got round to it. Maybe now is the time!

Forgot to add, sighted in my Sig 716 on friday and I hate 7.62. After 20 odd rounds of dialing it in i wasn't having fun anymore, plus my scope is that of a poor man and the eye relief at 6x to 10x was horrible.

Long short of it the Government still has 60 days...Not 9 to appeal

From what it seems you have to be a member of the parties that filed suit such as a member of GOA. But then it gets a little sketch if you might run into issues with local laws.

To me, this is a good thing but there has been so many variables and unknowns that if I were to want to get a suppressor now....I'd probably follow the normal NFA application to be safe. The ATF hasn't even released a public statement or guidance as to what the ruling means from a legal stand point. As has been mentioned, they have 60 days to file an appeal and they may be scrambling to come up with how to approach this on appeal.

Yep, I don't see a big difference between carrying a tax stamp or purchase receipt and GOA card
Seems I'd have to have one or the other

I'd like a suppressor but don't need one. Plus threaded barrels are out of stock for my preferred pistol.
I'd also like a SBR but don't need one.

So great ruling but I'll wait for now.

I'm good for now as far as suppressors. I hope that someday I'll be able to walk into the sporting goods store and just buy one like a wrench or a box of laundry detergent. Even better would be if existing owners just had their forms thrown away like they never existed. I feel for most people using a suppressor does a lot more good than any supposed harm. IIRC some countries you can just walk in and buy one like Norway and France.

We have Hollywood and the fear mongers to blame for the bad rep suppressors have. They all think that there will be a bunch of instant assassins running around picking people off in total stealth.
