I never saw my oil temp gauge go past 210F, most of the time it stays at around 195F, sometimes even lower.

Am I just not driving hard enough for anything to get a little hotter?

I also touched the transmission oil cooler that's on the right side of the car after I shut it off, it is just cold, like cold metal. I have 6MT.
Mine tends to stay in the middle during normal driving, but I have noticed that it stays a smidge on the cool side on cold days and runs a bit hot during hard driving/track days.
100c is the hottest ive ever seen....

Yup... Mine stays at about 95deg C during normal driving and 100deg C when extremely spirited. :)

It's easy to get it up to 110c in summer on the Nurburgring :D

Same here. Even on cold days where the oil temp is 95dec C, if I go beyond 5,000rpm a few times then the oil needle sits at 100dec C. I have not seen the needle going beyond 105deg C even during track days (although ambient temp was in the region of 18deg C i.e. not hot).
210F. I haven't driven it in the heat yet or a prolonged speed.

Hear this, Turner said what's being displayed on the E9X M3 oil temp gauge is not the actual oil temperature, but some kind of derivation based on coolant temp. It does get up to 260F at the track on a hot July day.
Same here. It is running on a cool side compared to my old 335.

Interesting. At first, before I fully read the manual, I actually thought it was water temp since it was right around 212F. Then I read the manual and "knew" it was oil. Now...:confused2

I asked him to clarify twice because I had a hard time believing it. His answer was the same.
100C is the highest i got... but then again its been pretty cool or cold outside over the past few months so we'll see how hot it gets in the summer when the air conditioning is on and its really hot outside.
My oil temp is always at or just over 210. I never never seen it below 210.
210 seems normal, a little over if i'm driving more aggressively.
My needle is normall around vertical which is around 95-100 deg. not seen it get any higher than that. It is quite cold here in the UK at the moment, will see what happens during spring/summer

+1
I would hope that it gets above 212F on a regular basis... any moisture that accumulates is removed

We don't have settled that one yet but as I said in another thread the aftersales information lists a QLT sensor being used (located in the oil pan). :confused2

Best regards, south
At what temp should I begin to worry? IE at the track?
210 ~ 225 F
I figured at the end of a 20 minute session on the track it would be at least 225
Daily driving in 70-85 degrees weather just under 210F
Reaches and sometimes passes 210F when i am driving at higher RPMs
