GregW / Oregon wroteI don't know what to tell you, but on my car the RT glass is the same as the LT one ( NOT convex )Well, the right may be a different number, but the US one is already convex, so I'm not sure why it would need replacing. I have no complaints about the right mirror.

GregW / Oregon wroteit does, but euro one is much different, I should say more convex / curved at the edgeWow! It doesn't say on it, "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear"?

doba_s wroteOkay, I can buy that, but your stock one is convex if it has that imprint. Appears from posts on other forums that they are $300-400 each, and not easy to get in the US, as they are not DOT approved.it does, but euro one is much different, I should say more convex / curved at the edge
There is actually a separation line between convex and normal part of the glass

doba_s wroteThanks - may do this someday, but at $700 it's not top of my list. $500 just for the dimming feature! Looks like they won't have stock in until end of November. I'm going to bookmark this, though.you can get them here

or maybe a bit cheaper on ebay
albert1028 wrotethis is the price in Europe - 224€ per side ...There has to be a way to get someone from Europe to order a bunch of these for us, right? Anyone have any contacts or ideas? Paying $700 is a bit steep.
doba_s wroteDoh! Thanks for letting me know, even if we knew individual who could buy it in europe. But 224 EURO i assume is retail, there's gotta be a tischer bmw parts location of Europe, right?this is the price in Europe - 224€ per side ...
with the current exchange rate it would cost you ~675 not including the shipping cost
albert1028 wroteIf you find a tischer bmw parts location of Europe, let me know:thumbsup:Doh! Thanks for letting me know, even if we knew individual who could buy it in europe. But 224 EURO i assume is retail, there's gotta be a tischer bmw parts location of Europe, right?
albert1028 wroteIf you are willing to give up auto dimming (still heated), which is a pretty small thing, the ECS Tuning price is $200/pair, much better.Doh! GregW / Oregon wroteThanks! Since I have tint already, i might be able to do this, $200 cheaper than $700. Wonder if auto dimming elements really warrant an extra $500 premium. I doubt the cost is really a few hundred dollors. If you are willing to give up auto dimming (still heated), which is a pretty small thing, the ECS Tuning price is $200/pair, much better.
albert1028 wroteElectrochromic glass is pretty expensive. The type that turns opaque runs about $100/square foot in buildings. This is a different type. Thanks! doba_s wroteNice, although you could stick on some of theose adhesive bubble mirrors on the outer part of the stock lens! (just kidding) I had my parts guy at Rasmussen BMW check and he says doesn't see any US restriction on ordering them. $290.31 for the left one (didn't have him check the right). So, that's about $120 (incl. shipping) less than ECST. Another nice thing is not stupid warning imprinted on them!Greg, here are some pics where you can see the separation line
