I called my SA this morning...unfortunately I wont be getting my car back until Monday or Tuesday. :mad0260: It needs a new idle valve actuator and its on order. I'll still try to make it, but im looking forward to the next meet already so I can join in on the fun. I would come in the 328 loaner, but showing up without the M is going to be like showing up naked. :sigh:

Hope it turns out well and make sure to schedule another one soon!
I know how that goes, its happened to me all to much, but either way you should still try to make it out there!
The forecast for Sunday is now light rain starting at 12:00 pm through 6:00 pm, followed by heavy rain. It sucks if it's gonna rain because it looks like we had over 15 cars showing.

Keep your fingers crossed and I'll make another post at 12:30 pm Sunday to let everyone know if this is a go or no go.
:mad0260: the rain better hold off I am having breakfast at IHOP right now so far so good:bow:
It is not raining, but there is a heavy mist in the air......at least where I am in Katy (west of town). It was enough for some to have their windshield wipers on already. This was about an hour ago.
No matter the out come I will still be at the parking lot at 2:00pm for anyone mist or no mist I will be there for you

Interesting, there is no precipitation in the entire U.S., except for our area!

Nevertheless, looks like any rain will be very light or just mist so the meet is on. See you guys there!
i showed up at 5pm hoping to see some cars and meet people but i guess this meet ended really early. sorry i missed yall. When is the next meet?
We left the Hotel at 2:25 pm, went to the warehouse district area, and left the warehouses around 4:45 pm. It was pretty crappy weather, but we fortunately found covered parking at the warehouses so it turned out to be a good meet. Seven M3s showed up all E92s.

Exhaust Comparison Video 5 is being uploaded to YouTube right now...check back in a little bit for the link. Shady1's Remus Race w/ AA Catless X-Pipe is a very, very good sounding setup.

As for still photos, the weather was too misty for me to take out my D-SLR. But Shady1 took several pictures with his point and shoot. Maybe he'll post them in the Photographs section when he is back home?

There is no date set for another meet yet. A lot of people travel during the Christmas season so I think the next meet should be in mid to late January.
Weather was indeed crappy this afternoon.

I'll try to make the next one...couldn't do it today.
Well on my way home I made a turn at a intersection and my car was hard to steer. I was thinking to myself well maybe its from all the stuff I had turned on in my car putting a strain on my car from the power pulley. Well I remember someone on the post saying their power steering belt broke at about 20,000 miles. Well I made a stop at a gas station which was 50 miles away from my house at the time. I pop open the hood got a flash light from my trunk and looked around under the hood at the engine and my belt was broken  "Dammit Jim" :mad0260: . I took out the broken parts of the drive belt. Since my other drive belt did not break the car was still able to drive. I was still good so I drove the car home :D . I have 3 sets of extra drive belts for my M3. just in case moments like this happen on a long trip. Well since I been deployed I forgot to put a set of belts back in the car  . I will fix the belt when I get off work in the afternoon. The steering on the M3 is a real B#*$h ....:mad0259: with no powersteering. I am just glad me and the wife made it home safe
Here are some of the pics I took. They are not the best pics but you get the point :D

It was great meeting you guys, the weather was nasty but it was still a good meet! Hopefully next time will be better.
Here are a few more pics, Toms IB M3 bumper is  No more painted reflectors for him :cool!:

Wow Shady, glad you made it back. It's ironic that you've got extra set of belts, but didn't have any with you. But breaking a belt after just 20,000 miles doesn't sound good to me.

Thanks for the pics.

Next time, a meet without rain would be lots better and hope to get even more cars out there.

This was not the BMW OEM factory belt :mad0259: this was the AA pulley belt that I have extra sets of and it only had 2500 miles at the most on that belt. They had a problem with their belts at the beginning around the same time I got my pulley. The bad belts would dry rot, crack and break this was the exact case with this belt. They were not sure if I had one of the bad belts or not. Well this just proved I had a bad belt. I told them to send me 3 sets of the good belts because I know I could not find these belts at a Auto part store or BMW Stealer Ship. I try my best to be a little pro-active ;) and have the right tools and stuff in my car for long road trips I even take a OEM factory wheel with me for a spare along with a jack  . I can't help it I am a mechanic and I don't like to break down :mad0259:
Shady - nice meeting you on Sunday and I'm glad you and your wife made it home safely.

I also have an AA pulley which I bought about a month ago. Do you know if the problem with the belt still exists?
Great pics guys and Tom that bumper look sinister, I need to see it in person.--John

I was worried about the same issue, but when I asked Omar @ AA if the problem still existed, he told me that it had already been corrected. I ordered mine about 3 months ago.

So far, I haven't had any issues...Except that the steering is much stiffer at parking lot speeds.
