The M3 in 2011

The M3 in the Spring of 2011:
There is some speculation that the M3 Convertible will offer a new BMW Individual Composition package in the spring and a special edition BMW Individual M3 Coupe will be offered in limited numbers in late Spring.

The M3 sedan, coupe, and convertible will continue to be produced as 2011 models.

Great. And I just ordered. Hopefully the "premium" for this car will be laughable so I'll feel okay I didn't wait.

Oh sweet the composition pacakge, mozart pwnage!

I'm hoping for Monte Carlo Blue...though I can't afford the 100k price.

check your system if you can. it seems odd that we are almost a month away and apparently the option isn't available to configure yet.

I just placed an order for an April production M3 and 6NR is not in the system. BMW should have it available for configuring in February at some point. I get an order almost every day so I am constantly checking for 6NR.

Oftentimes the option is announced but not available in order system. Sometimes the option is available, but then the pricing appears with the word "blocked". I do have a lot of March production M3's awaiting the 6NR addition. BMW have confirmed that 6NR will be March production, so as soon as I see it's available I am taking half a day off to modify all the cars with the new option.

It enables the iDrive to run apps from your iphone. For example, Pandora can be (or soon will be) run within the iDrive system with full control via the car, artwork display, and all features...as though it is a native feature.

It basically creates a platform for an expandable app-rich idrive experience...

I wouldn't worry. Anything with the word "Individual" has a huge premium on it. Like $5k for the non-matte Individual paint colors, for example...

There is some evidence that the 6NR option capabilities can be retrofitted for Combox equipped cars (builds post 10/2010) though a future software update. The silence on this option from BMW is deafening after their premature iPhone app release in December.

I hope that this is the case. I want my 2011.5 to be able to experience this.

I actually have 6NR already on one of my M3 orders. The pricing is blocked but you can see it below. BMW added it to one of my Individual orders. I couldn't do it from my system.
