Im getting it cut open from the bottom. Taking all the fibers out. Cutting out all 4 of the perferated pipes an replacing with striat pipes. An put back the fibers in an seal it up.

They want $280. Is it worth it?! Let me know what you guys think
Why not just forgo the can and put straight pipes in? That sounds like what you want anyway. Or go with some cutout valves.

Stealth, so the dealer can't tell that you've modded it besides the loud noise, lol
Who cares? It's not like a modified exhaust will void the warranty. Plus, any mechanic will know something's up when he hears it.
You guys are both right. But Will there be a sound differance?
How much do you really get from it though? Probably not enough to justify the loud, raspy sound youre gonna get
Im just looking for it tto be louder lol
You´ll get some of the best sound out there with no drone... take it from someone you did it.
Well im glad to hear that!
ok first thing is a lot of people here did the cut out from the bottom, I DID mine from the top to so when my car hit the lift it wont show at all.

2nd if your going to cut all perforated pipes and replaced it with straight pipe SHIT is going to be SO LOUD and drone will be there.

3rd i would put just cut the bigger perforated pipes out and have your 2nd CAT DELETED. and call it a day...

this way no drone and exhaust note are going to be a beast with a little power from removing the 2nd cat not much but yea it will make a difference.

EDIT: yes 280 is duable I PAID 250 WITH MINE.
I want it loud like the full race gitini exhaust lol
I second the cut at the top, more work but you will never see the seam (no matter how nice of a welding they do, it will be there)
Price is already at $280 cash. I have a vorstiner diffuser so shoudnt be visible anyways
You could get a Megan for 500
Dude, just get electronic exhaust cutouts, it's the best of both worlds.

You'll regret the straight pipes as soon as you get on the freeway, trust me.
The cutouts were more expensive by alot considering it needs to be properly installed. And i like loud things lol. I heard theirs no drone
Just get the Gintani race exhaust.
Gitini is 2k

And that looks an louds really good... If this oem exhuast doesnt come out good ill look into that
I agree and call it a day

I did all four of my perforated pipes... I didn't replace with pipes but still covered all of them... I did end up gutting my cats also... I cut it from the top. and just painted it back silver. It does not drone like the way you are describing it... It also sounds very good...
Modded OEM + HFC X-Pipe is what I'm planning on doing when I get my car.
