FYI RAC RG63 not compatible with Rogue spacers

There is play between the wheel and the spacer. It wobbled a bit back and forth when seated on the rim. I took them off and switched to Macht Schnell and the vibration is gone.

The Rogue spacers work OK with OEM wheels (there is no play like there is with the RAC's). I'm not sure why this is. The MS spacers seem to work on both OEM and RAC's.

It's likely that the radius that's machined into the spacers (mounting plate to pilot) is larger than the mating radius in the RAC's.

Hmm, thanks for the explanation, I still don't quite understand though! Got a diagram? If not it's ok, I'm probably going to sell the Rogue 12mm's.

This is from Rldzhao's sticky spacer thread (marked up a bit) which he got from Turner (thanks to Rldzhao & Turner). I've circled the potential interference points.

It's possible that your Rogue spacers were mismachined or just designed with a large transition radius. It's also possible that Shep didn't worry about spacer clearance in the spec of the chamfer/radius of the wheel mounting to pilot bore intersection, as he designed the wheels to be used without spacers.

You were using 12mm spacer on these wheels? They are already ET 22, your wheels must have stuck out quite a bit.

The 18" RG63's are ET38 front with 9" width. You are correct the 19's are ET22 (also 9" width).

Thanks for clarifying, didn't realize you have the 18s. Wish I had done that GB as well.

Well, that explains your need for spacers. My same comment applies to those wheels as well as they were designed to fit on the E46 M3 w/o spacers.

You could safely have the clearance radius/chamfer increased on your RG63's to match the OEM BMW wheels. I wouldn't modify the spacers. It's best to use a brand of spacers that works without changing anything if you can.
