NO, especially for thrust arm bushings and the upper rear strut mounts. There is no discernible increase in NVH and you want the dampers locked in with a dual circuit damper.

I purchased my 06 330xi more than 10 years ago with about 106k miles on it.
The front struts were completely shot. I replaced them with the Koni FSD units,and kept the factory springs.Now 10 years later and almost 200k miles on it,and I have been completely satisfied with the FSD units. They do exactly what Koni claims. Nice ride during steady state, handles bumps and pot holes well with almost zero roll when cornering. At slow speeds over slightly bumpy roads the ride feels very slightly "busy". This is barely noticeable. I have never regretted my decision to go with the FSD's and stock springs. |
