That one is just the lid. Doesn't come with a gasket.

There's a link from Grainger few posts above that Biginboca posted.

You need:

Internal diameter of 37mm
Outside diameter 43mm

43-37 = 6
6/2 = 3mm Cross Section (thickness of the ring)

I think your issue is you got the 6mm thick one instead of 3mm.

Yeah I figured, but all of the graphics I could find by googling it showed axial cross section as diameter rather than radius. I couldn't even find a 3.0x37. I'll check that link though

McMaster-Carr, Grainger, Fastenal - all reputable suppliers.

Unfortunately I don't have any left.

Key things to consider are material (Viton) and Dimensions.

Super easy to replace. I've had mine now through a wide range of temperatures and so far they are holding up amazing. No sweating or leaks.

Jus tried it out and unfortunately it's too big and too thick by about 3mm. I had a spare round gasket like the picture above that I was able to make it work.

Guys just a quick update.

I have had the viton o-ring for a year now. The car is a daily driver and has seen a vast amount of weather and temperature variations.

The o-ring is doing its job great. I see no sweating or leaks around the cover plate.

That's awesome news! I recently bought a used oil thermostat housing so I can add an oil cooler. I figured I change this gasket now and save myself the headache later, just have to try and find one within Canada preferably. With shipping and duties, anywhere outside of Canada is pretty rough.
